I have no insurance and I understand the need for test strips. I am insulin dependent and I am suppose to check no less then 5 times a day. I would like to suggest you do as I did and get a CVS or Walgreens blood glucose monitor. The test strip for these monitors are half the cost of test strips for Name brand monitors.

I am so glad that you are able to control your diabetes with food intake and weight control and I do hope that you never end up insulin dependent.

I am thankful that my daughter is finally getting away from her abusive husband. She attempted suicide last week after several years of emotional abuse from him. She hit rock bottom but will be living with us after she is released from the hospital tomorrow. (more)
