Under the picture of people there's an envelope, a plus sign and a magnifying glass. If you want someone to be your friend, click the plus sign. It will change, indicating that you've sent a request for friendship (or if it's not a plus, they've sent one to you--or that you're already friends. the envelope is for private messages, and I forget about the magnifying glass...if I ever knew about it. (I have chemo-brain at times. OK, really, I'm old and forgetful, but I do have chemo-brain as an excuse!!)
