Running it again....and again....and again......
Time is of the essence! I will be enrolling for spring semester! I can't wait!
Registration for Fast Track is in Early December! In going over system requirements for the classes, I found out that for one of the certification courses for the degree I have to have Microsoft Word and Power Point. I currently use Open Office, however this is not an acceptable program. Not only that, but NONE of the Windows Vista OS have this included. It has to be purchased seperately.

Luckily since I work for AT&T, I can get an INCREDIBLE discount on the product directly from Microsoft. Normal pricing for Office Home and Student is 99.99-199.99 (depending on where you get it). I can get it for 76.70. With the shipping and tax, the total comes up to around 87.00. Since I am going for Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Software Applications, this program is a must and on the list of requirements.

The program I am enrolling in is called BPCC FAST TRACK, for students who attended and never got to finish school for one reason or another. It is extremely fast paced with 4, 4 week sessions in each semester. That means one class is 4 weeks long then you take the final and move to another class. I am very excited! Stop the Party Animals!

I have a house full of Party Animals, and I need your help to stop the party.The accused Party Animals are Skip, a foxhound who pretended to be a beagle, Dianna my brothers baby Great Dane ( watch out Michie, Dianna thinks she is princess of the world), and Charlie who hides his mischievous nature behind an array of adorable tricks, and big sweet eyes.

These party animals, can not be left unattended because they will try to maim each other, and themselves using their tie out leads. When they come inside they fuss, because they would rather be outside playing. That is when the party begins. Table dancing, couch leaping, Karaoke, swinging from the ceiling fan, food fights and more! They will go to great lengths to prove their displeasure at having playtime cut short.

The only solution : JAIL! I need your help to end the party by building a dog run, where they can safely run around, and play. Because 2 of these dogs are still puppies they need a good deal of exercise, and now that I am pregnant I can not take them jogging, only for slow boring walks. A dog run is a permanent solution which will allow them to safely wrestle, run, jump and play to their hearts content. (more)

Postage for the Coupon Train

If you've been to the Greedy or Needy forum lately, you may have noticed some threads pertaining to the Coupon Train. A coupon train is a way to exchange by mail your un-needed coupons for some that you can use. The current Coupon Train here at GoN will compose of five "cars" or envelopes that the "passengers" will use to exchange coupons. In this way we can keep the weight of the envelopes low enough that they will only require a $0.42 postage stamp.

This wish is for postage to defray the costs of mailing five envelopes through a train of 10 or more people. If this wish wins, I'll buy a roll of stamps and put some in a few of the envelopes. (more)

New Children's Homeless Shelter in Indianapolis needs help..

Restoring Lives West was opened up this year to serve the west side of the city of Indianapolis, which has been devoid of any services for homeless children. They have one paid social worker and some volunteers. The social worker, Hope, was told by a long time children's shelter workers on the East side not to be disappointed if she only had 12 to 16 kids come in this year. They are already helping over 37 and last month could not meet their budget.

I personally got involved when Hope saw some of my art on the web and asked me to donate for their silent auction. I went down and toured the facility and interviewed Hope. This is such a desperate need. For more information, you can read about the work at [ link ] .

BABY ELY IS AUTISTIC PLEASE HELP WITH ABA THERAPY 3RD TRY

This is my third try for Ely. My son is 18 months old and diagnosed with moderate Autism & Oral Aversion. Ely is non-verbal and has very little communications skills. His developmental pediatrician has recommend a minimum of 10 hours of ABA therapy a week. In Texas ABA Therapy is not covered by medicaid or insurance. The therapist charge $100.00 an hour. We have been in contact with an organization here that works with college students and provides therapy at a reduced rate. Ely went for his evaluation on Thursday and goes back next Thursday for the other half of the evaluation. In the mean time we were asked to purchase Language Builder Picture Cards to be used as part of his therapy. These cards are $159.99 we will use the wish money towards that purchase. Funds for a prolonged Medical Trip

My son JK has a rare, life-threatening illness called Kostman's Syndrome (severe chronic neutropenia). The Oncologist told us yesterday he defintely has to have a bone marrow transplant. We've known he would, just not when. We are hoping it can wait until spring, when he turns 16, so it can be done at the hospital 2 hours away instead of in Ohio. The doctors will let me know, they hope, by next week. Either way, he will be in the hospital 2 weeks before transplant, and 3-6 months after. I will have to leave my other sons and husband to be with him. Due to panic attacks, I do not drive much so will need taxi funds and such to get to and from the hospital. I am not sure yet if any of the Ronald McDonald houses will have vacancies and will have to stay at a hotel if they don't. I was told his Unicare will not cover any travel or stays unless he is with me at the time of travel, and any phone charges are my responsibility. This is a frightening thing to us all, and we are trying to prepare ahead of time. I do have an account open in J's name and all funds from fundraisers etc..will go into it for this unhappy trip. A while back, after Joey and I first moved in together and were planning our wedding, he worked with this girl, whom we will refer to throughout this post as Hoochie.

One day, Hoochie needs a ride to the bar after work, and Joey, being the really nice guy that he is, offers to drive her because the bar happens to be on his way home. During the car ride to the bar, Hoochie, (this story isn't really that good unless you can see me act it out, but thats ok) tells Joey she feels gross and sweaty from work and proceeds to peel off her shirt in the car, with my man and throws it in the backseat. Then she invites him to join her at the bar, because, of course, I'm probably sleeping and she doesn't want Joey to be bored at home. (mmm hmmm)

Joey, of course, doesn't tell me any of this, because for some reason, he likes to think that he is just not the kind of guy that other Hoochies would flirt with. So, he doesn't say anything, until one day I have to drive his car somewhere. He all of the sudden gets really nervous and follows me out to the car and says "Wait, I have to take something out of the backseat". Of course, its a chicks shirt.

I like to think I kept my calm and didn't get too ghetto, but that would be a lie. I totally got ghetto and asked him what a bitches shirt was doing in his car. Then he fesses up and tells me the whole story.

Now to the Fess Up part of the wish.
I wouldn't let him take the girls shirt back to work. I told him, if she wanted it, she could walk her Hoochie ass over to my house and get it. Then I treated her shirt like a dish towel, I scrubbed the floor with it, wiped up the table with it, used it to hold gross food that I was taking to the garbage can. I seem to remember, this was right around thanksgiving time and I used the shirt as a catch all when I was getting dinner prepared. She ended up getting it back, eventually, because Joey is nice, but I wouldn't let him wash it. He just stuffed it in a bag and took it back to work with him.

Thats what happens when you leave your Hoochie shirt in the backseat of my mans car. (more)

Yes, it was indeed me (with the help of a few friends) that filled the school bus driver's new gloves with axle grease.
I honestly thought it was a fair trade for him making us stay after school to clean out the bus.
It was his own fault. He should have known better than to load a bunch of kids in the back of his pick-up truck with a freshly loaded grease gun and all his other supplies in there though.
Seriously, what kid can resist playing with a grease gun?

The funniest part of the whole incident was, after it had been discovered (by putting his hands in his gloves, I imagine), he made us go home and tell our parents what we'd done.
I was scared....really scared. I knew I had to do it cuz, he was going to call my dad that night and make sure I had. I knew I'd be in even more trouble if he called and my dad was clueless about what he was talking about.
The one thing I hadn't counted on was, this was a guy my dad didn't like.
When I told him what I'd done, he laughed so hard.
Then.....I got punished. Not bad though. ;) (more)

I need to learn to draw

I'm going back to school in January, to get my nursing degree. Even though I hold a Bachelor's degree , I have to re-take all my science classes because my credits are too old. Which is fine, I want to lay a strong foundation for my nursing education so I need to refresh myself on chemistry and biology, anyway.

I was always really good at sciences, except for the labs. I'm a terrible artist, and am particularly bad at drawing. This worries me because the labs do require students to diagram and draw quite a bit.
