The star I want to follow this Christmas won't lead me to Christ's stable in Bethlehem. It is Polaris, the Northern Star, and I want to follow it home.

I have been trying over the past few months to arrange for a long overdue family reunion. The original goal was for about a week from now, when my older brother would be in Timmins anyway. Unfortunately, even if we had raised the money, August has proven impossible, as my contact working for the cadet summer training centre won't end until 2 days after Thom leaves Timmins. SO the goal I am setting is getting the family home for Christmas, just like we used to do. It has been too many years since we've all been together, and after recent events (if you know, you know, but I don't want to use this as a promotional tool) we're really needing to be together as a family.
Also, this will be the first time I bring my Ellen home for Christmas. I'd really love for her to fully experience a Hutchison Christmas, with all of us present. For those of you who don't know, Ellen is my 42, my meaning of life, my other half.
So what do you say, 10 times a charm?

My husband Josh will be going to Iraq next month. That's what happens when you're in the Army.



Thanks to the members here, we have a short private time together planned, and that memory will help, but we would love to have family photos made. I have found coupons to help with the cost, but we'd like to have several poses, including a good picture of Josh in his Class A uniform. A good picture of the whole family that he can carry with him is also an important thing. I think it helps to have a picture of exactly what you're fighting for, and a strong America for our family--our family and yours--is the reason.



It would overburden his wallet to carry everybody's photo, but several good poses of our family would be great for his morale. Both his Mom and I would love to have a really nice portrait of him in his dress uniform, and the big photo will help our little ones remember what Daddy looks like, and to learn why he's there.



Thank you for reading about our family, and our soldier, husband, father, son, who is going to do what he believes is right.

I am jist a simple Southerner, so I ain't fer sure what all this here 'shoe-wearin' stuff is all about, but my friend (and your'n) Deb_vt needs to put shoes on her young'uns fer school. They is nice lookin young'uns, with the regulation number of fingers an toes, and from what I unnerstan' it gits mighty cold up thar, so in order to KEEP them toes, these girls need shoes.

Us folks down South only got to wear shoes to th' church house for marryin's and buryin's--and to th' County Seat to th' Courthouse to bail out Grammaw fer moonshinin'. (Again.) Bu I heered that up North they got this stuff called "SNOW" what is s'posed to be like that ice they use fer SnoCones, only even littelr, and it STAYS FROZE!! And that kin hurt yer FEETS somethin' turribul!! (I done walk't across the floor of th' frozen food locker down to th' deer plant once, and dang near lost a pinkie toe. Think on havin' that on th' ground fer MONTHS!!)

Now, if'n Deb's girls are to win this here wish, and if'n there happens to be sum money left after puttin shoes on 'em, they Mama has promised to spend th' rest of in on sum sox, er some underdrawers, er sumthin' vital for either eddycashun er HiGene purposes. You know how it is, when they become Young Ladies, it jist ain't fittin' that they go barefoot evverwhere alla time. You don't never know when there'll be sum foot fetishy kinda feller around, and she cain't have none of them followin' them girls home, becuz they's Northeners, and they most likely don't got no shotgun aside th' door in case of revenoors or other gub'mint offishuls comin' by, so getin' rid of a prevert might be difficult, too!!

Please, y'all, this here Mama needs to shoe them children, and they got some mighty powerful other expenses goin' on at the moment. It would be a downright shame if'n one of them got th' hot&cold runnin' epizootics from goin' to school barefoot, and even worse if they got some toes froze off (although my cousin Melvin got him 7 toes on one foot and he'd most likely share).

Remember, vote high and vote often. Support the right of feet to not be bare!! Th' picksher on here ain't her children, they be Melvin's wifes Mama's children. We chose sum with the normal amount of toes. It wuz hard.)

There's a wonderful lady on RHF called Dee Dee. She suffers from an incurable cancer, and she is about to undergo an extensive trial (experimental) treatment - in hopes it will help her gain few more days/weeks/months or even years with us, on this planet. This is her full story: [ link ]

This wish is for small funds to get Dee Dee some food & maybe a gas card, so that she can travel to her cancer-squisshing appointments, and have a bite to eat on the way (when cancer and the treatments allow her).

We all know Dee Dee, and she has been more than gracious in her constant help to all RHF members. She devotes her time like she has plenty of it left, but in truth she does not. For this reason I'd like to cheer her up with maybe a little gift basket of goodies, or a card so that she can choose the foods she likes (and can tolerate). I think our Dee Dee deserves it, after all she's been through.

Since Dee Dee doesn't have PayPal, you can pm me to get a PayPal address - and for any donations you'll be kind enough to send. I will send her a check - adding my personal donations to it of course - when this round is over.

I have finished 47 weeks of chemotherapy and about halfway through, my insurance declined to pay for anymore. I had money saved up for our vacation and had to ue that for my treatments. I am still not resiliant enough to work full time and my kids are suffering because of it. Everybody knows that you only do a well as you feel you can and I want my kids to do fantastic! They took care of me when I was sick and had no-one else to do it and now i want to do something for them.
