My grandson Chase turned 10 on May 14th. His birthday was ruined for the second year in a row. His Mama and Daddy were divorced on his birthday...then to top that off, his Daddy came and made his older brother Dillon go back to live with him (30 miles away) after being with his Mama and brothers for seven months. It was all a "spite" thing....but a long story....
It broke my heart to see his birthday ruined again. Chase and I would go shopping for whatever he wants. He's not into toys, he loves new clothes and shoes!!!!

I am a Single Mother and I work full-time, but a few things in the past couple of weeks have just caught me off guard and have caused me to run low on money to purchase food. If I recieved the child support I am suppose to recieve this would not be an issue, but unfortunatly that is not going to happen....not from the jerk I was married too. I have a daughter who has a condition similar to diabetes and diet is the only way we regulate her levels. She is in need of the proper nutrition to sustain her and at the moment I just do not have the means to purchase what she is needing. I am not eligilbe for any Goverment Programs and the food pantries are very few and far between in my area. So if you could help me in making this wish come true I would be forever greatful. (more)

Chase did get a "kick" out of watching his wish points go up! So I am going to redo his wish, being totally honest. ly honest. He has had a miserable birthday for the last two years, due to his Mom and Dad's separation. On May 14th (Chase's birthday they were divorced) On that day when his Dad came to get his brother, his Mama cried all day, and I was also in depression.
Thank's to someone here, Chase is being sent a brand new skateboard. ((Thank you again)) I am buying him some new shoes this week, he likes shoes better than any little girl I know!
So I have changed his wish from 200.00 to 150.00 ... so that he can buy whatever he wants. I want to thank each and everyone who voted last week.
This will be the last wish for him as I know there are too many others in "much need here".

My husband and I are in our 60's and have been foster parents for many years. We have adopted 4 little girls who stole our hearts. My husband is disabled and we have alot of time with the girls. Our 7 yr old has ADHD and a speech problem which we are told is a result of the abuse she went through when she was younger. I am jist a simple Southerner, so I ain't fer sure what all this here 'shoe-wearin' stuff is all about, but my friend (and your'n) Deb_vt needs to put shoes on her young'uns fer school. They is nice lookin young'uns, with the regulation number of fingers an toes, and from what I unnerstan' it gits mighty cold up thar, so in order to KEEP them toes, these girls need shoes.

Us folks down South only got to wear shoes to th' church house for marryin's and buryin's--and to th' County Seat to th' Courthouse to bail out Grammaw fer moonshinin'. (Again.) Bu I heered that up North they got this stuff called "SNOW" what is s'posed to be like that ice they use fer SnoCones, only even littelr, and it STAYS FROZE!! And that kin hurt yer FEETS somethin' turribul!! (I done walk't across the floor of th' frozen food locker down to th' deer plant once, and dang near lost a pinkie toe. Think on havin' that on th' ground fer MONTHS!!)

Now, if'n Deb's girls are to win this here wish, and if'n there happens to be sum money left after puttin shoes on 'em, they Mama has promised to spend th' rest of in on sum sox, er some underdrawers, er sumthin' vital for either eddycashun er HiGene purposes. You know how it is, when they become Young Ladies, it jist ain't fittin' that they go barefoot evverwhere alla time. You don't never know when there'll be sum foot fetishy kinda feller around, and she cain't have none of them followin' them girls home, becuz they's Northeners, and they most likely don't got no shotgun aside th' door in case of revenoors or other gub'mint offishuls comin' by, so getin' rid of a prevert might be difficult, too!!

Please, y'all, this here Mama needs to shoe them children, and they got some mighty powerful other expenses goin' on at the moment. It would be a downright shame if'n one of them got th' hot&cold runnin' epizootics from goin' to school barefoot, and even worse if they got some toes froze off (although my cousin Melvin got him 7 toes on one foot and he'd most likely share).

12 yr old Grandson GOOFED and now I need to pay a high cell

My 12 year old Grandson saw on the TV a chance to win some sort of game system by texting a message to a particular number. The only reason I have the cell phone is for emergency situations. He took the cell phone and texted the number without asking. I know very little about cell phone and when I started getting a text message back each day with a game to play, I would just delete it. I have my cell phone through my Nieces account. She called me two days ago and told me that I owe her $78.44 for all these text messages. When she told me this it made my stomach hurt, and I have felt very sick for the past two days. I have a hard enough time getting by on $735/mo and this extra bill will not allow me to pay all my other bills this month. On top of that my 12 yr old Grandson has his 13th birthday on Sept. 21 and now I definitely will not have the money to get him a birthday gift. Supplies for my public school Title I first-grade students

I am a first-grade teacher in a GA public school. The school is currently in Title I status which means that a considerate amount of families whose children attend there are making at or below the poverty level. I would like to make supply kits for my students to be able to have the supplies they need for classwork and homework both at home and at school. It would be great if I could also take care of things like the cavities they have in their teeth and how many of them get their most filling meal at school, but I feel like if we help aid in their learning, it will at least help their future.
The first time I realized there was a big problem was when one little girl began to cry as I was handing out their homework because she did not have crayons or scissors at home to complete the assignment. I have also had other students stash supplies into their backpacks when they think I am not looking. Some of these kids lead hard lives, staying out with their parents at work until their night-shift ends (usually late at night) and then falling asleep during class. Having low self-esteem about when they can and cannot accomplish.
I would like to at least help a little by giving them school supplies like crayons, notebooks, pencils and even some inexpensive paperback books they can practice with at home. Most of them are below grade level because they are English language learners and they need all the practice they can get.
