A Car for my family..please needed badly

I live in Jensen Beach on a Island with my two small kids, age 4 and 2. and my husband. we don't have any transportation and there is no grocery store here. My daughter starts pre-k in August but unless I have a vehicle she will not be able to attend. There are no public buses here and I cannot afford cabs. Luckily I work right across the street from my house at the Marriott but I end up spending twice as much on necessities at the local convenience store. Also my church is moving to the next city in August and I will have no way to get there on Sundays without a car. I don't need anything great, just a cheap beater to get me from A to B. I figure it will be $500 or less to find one and hopefully I find something real cheap so I can use whats left for insurance. thanks for reading and please vote for me. God bless
