MY 9TH TRY !!! I have no where else to turn; Please - I'm drowning; I need your help !
My companion cat Bandit, now diabetic ~ as of two years ago ~ I learned, should he get sick, it can be serious ! On March 8th, he began throwing up and couldn't keep anything down - I rushed him to the Pet Emergency Hospital. They did tests; IVs; meds; etc. Brought him home the next afternoon. Later it started again; then he quit eating & drinking; continued to throw up until it was just foam! Per my Vet, again, rushed him back to the Hosp.
During the first trip, I had called the local Pet Assistance, and got a $75 donation from United Animal Nations to the Hosp.; & a website to contact. I also told the Pet Hosp. I was on Disability, & didn't know how I would pay the bill. [They, in addition to my Vet, kept telling me to apply for CareCredit - this too - a long story, 'but', the -ultimate mess- I am in; with HORRENDOUS interest & payments!]
Here is the breakdown of the bill -after- the $75 donation: $3,346 [less a one time only grant of $500 from AAHA Helping Pets Fund; less $18, rtn'd 6 cans of Rx cat food; less $10 from donation of 1st time for this wish] & $5 from chng.= $2,813 - plus % !
"I" even ended up in the E.R. for 18 hrs. during all of this !
Would you -please- help me with your vote of '5' !?!? I am on FIXED SSI (no other means of support) - and ALL the OTHER pet foundations I have contacted DO NOT DONATE "after the fact" -or- "once treatment has begun" !!! [I don't know how they expect you to know about them, let alone go through all the processes -before- your pet gets -any- treatment, when they are on the brink of death !!!]
Bandit is ALL I have left; and he is such a SWEET BOY !!! He helps with my B.P.; the depression times from my severe pain & illnesses. We play; he comes when I whistle; he knows when I'm extra sick; he keeps me on my toes; & is great company ! Please...Help me with this huge bill & give me some much needed breathing room !
