A Filipina Domestic Helper Mom needs your help. Returning home is the most awaited time for all the people whom i left behind (my children, aged parents, sisters, relatives and friends) who haven't seen me since August 2001. The trip in going home takes time, there is no straight flight coz my parents live in the remote place. I need a plane ticket from Taiwan to Manila to Cebu City, then I will take an overnight sea trip, then a bus trip for 7 hours. It's a long travel but your help will make things easier for me, your VOTE will free me from worrying on how to go home. My working Visa here in Taiwan will end on May 18 & I need to leave the country on or before that date otherwise i go to jail. Taiwan labor law allows all foreigners to stay for 3 years but must leave the country after that, then can apply for a new Visa to re-enter.
I am HOPEFUL you will hear my plea, I am begging for your VOTE, there's none whom I can turn too. I got lots of financial troubles that is why you will see my wish every week, each of my past wishes will remain waiting till a miracle happens.

24 days and counting for Mission Trip to Nepal & India

In 22 DAYS My husband and I are going on our second mission trip to Nepal and India. We?ll be working alongside nine other team mates with established Vineyard churches in both locations. These churches play a crucial role in their communities by taking in orphans, caring for the sick, feeding and clothing the poor, and offering various other resources to the many people in need.

The Kathmandu Vineyard also supports numerous villages in the Himalayan Mtns. While there, we will be going into the villages to offer medical clinics, leadership training, and to help with any building/carpentry needs that the villagers may have. Last year, we raised money to provide many villagers with wood-burning stoves, and this allowed proper ventilation for the smoke from their cooking fires, which had before simply filled the insides of their homes. The stoves will help reduce the breathing and lung problems that are prevalent in Gadlang (the name of the mountain village).

My husband is a self-employed contractor and in order for us to return to Nepal, we need to raise the money for the trip ($4,500 a piece) as well as money to cover our bills, since he won?t have income while we are gone ($2,500). So far, we?ve been able to raise $5,000 on our own through family and friends. But we still need to raise the rest, so at this point, we are in great need of funds. But if you've looked at our wish before you'll notice the amount we are asking had decreased due to the money we got this past week. And I know it's more than is alloted from ROBINHOOD, but the question it asks is "How much do you need to fulfill your wish?" And I'm assuming that's so people know incase they would like to donate directly. Hope that helps.

Provision for the Nepalese People during our Trip

We leave in 49 hours and we need $500 dollars for the purchase of medical supplies, food, & clothing, as well as to give ive to individuals to live off of. $500 equals over $36,000 Nepali Rupees, and in a country where the per capita income is roughly $210 we can really make a difference in the lives of many people.

This is part of a missionary trip, so if you do not believe in supporting Christian causes that is okay I just wanted you to know up front.

$500 is the amount that we give as individuals from the team to help those we meet. There are 10 of us going so we have the chance to make a huge difference. Originally we (my husband and I) needed funds just to make the trip, but through various other fundraising efforts we are down to just needing the funds for what we will do while we are there - $500 is not going to cover all of what we still need, but I wanted to just ask for funds that would go directly to helping those we will work with.

Some of the medical supplies we will be able to supply people with are: antibiotics, eye drops, cough meds, bandages, hydrogen peroxide, triple antibiotic ointment, reading glasses, etc. Most of these items we take for granted, but they are in short supply for most of the people we will work with. We do medical clinics while we are there for the villagers in Gadlang where it is common for them to get severe infections from untreated cuts and leech bites. So equipping them with some of the basics for treating cuts truly will make a difference in their lives.

With that money we will also be able to supply numerous families with food and clothing which will help take some of the financial burden off their shoulders for a short time.

We are really looking forward to the trip and we appreciate you reading the wish! If anyone is interested in donating directly, please do, we still need $4335 total.

Extensive medical bills to be paid (2nd try)...

I am a wife, mommy and elementary teacher. You can read our story at [ link ] Over the past four years we have incurred very extensive medical bills (doctor, hospital, surgical, pharmacy) for both of our daughters. We have been unable to find doctors who can agree on their diagnosis or treatment. We have had a lot of difficulty juggling things money-wise and need the heavy financial weight lifted. We were scheduled to have a second surgery for my four year old in November, but had to cancel it for financial reasons. This is my second "wish" attempt. We chose the amount of only one hospital bill, for cystic fibrosis testing and extensive blood work, instead of the full amount of all our medical bills together like we did the first time.
