Riley, my 9 year old son, has numerous health and developmental challenges which include: autism, type I diabetes, a seizure disorder, and the latest is dysautonomia. His seizures occur when he is sleeping after being sleep deprived and they almost always cause him to stop breathing. He has to sleep with me so that I can perform CPR if he has a seizure during the night. I've had to do CPR twice on the child already and can't put him in another room without a way to monitor seizure activity. There is a UK device that monitors seizure activity and will even sound an alarm if Riley leaves his bed and doesn't return with in a couple of minutes. I really want this child to be able to sleep in his own room but he requires constant supervision. Our insurance will not pay for the monitor but it is a huge need at our house. (more)

This January I was sitting in my living room when I heard a kitten screaming outside. The sound was one of pure fear. I went outside and found a tiny tabby kitten, perhaps a month old if that. She was already starting to freeze to the ground as it was -18 degrees out not including wind chill. I took her in, introduced her to my herd, and have cared for her since. She is named Valentine since she has a cross of stripes on her back with a heart-shaped spot in the centre of the cross. She's now reached the age where she needs her "big girl" surgery, and my budget is stretched to the limit. I would love to be able to pay for her little snip and still have enough money for food for her and my other kitties as well as myself. This is my 3rd try, I am only asking for for $100.00 just to get some supplies for my crafts.

My wish is to start a small business, so that my husband can take a break and enjoy life and our daughters. He works so hard all week and hardly ever gets to see our girls. He works night shift and is barely making over minimum wage. I told him that I would like to get a part time job to help with bills, but he doesnt want me to. He said that it would not pay for me to work and then have to turn around and pay all of what I would make to a sitter. It does make sense though. I just want to contribute to our family. I would like to buy nice things for my girls and my husband. They never seem to get anything. When he gets paid, we pay bills, get neccesities and we are about broke. Then we have to stretch the rest for gas for the next two weeks.

I just want to start a little business out of our home doing crafts. I have made a few things for different people and they keep telling me how great a job I do; and that I should start my own business. I reply to that with "You have to have money to do that, and I dont have it!" This would mean so much to me to get this money, just enough to buy some supplies so that I can get started!! I changed this to needy. I need to make some extra money to help my family. With this, I can buy the supplies to make things to sell which will help me support my family.

My husband and I recently seperated after 24 years of marriage. We were arguing most of the time so we thought it was best to just take a break than to be at each others throat.

Anyway, I'm trying to find a job that I can do at home until I can get my son back into school.
That's another story in its self. If I can get the supplies, I can make dolls, pot holders, blankets, eye glass cases..just about anything, to sell and make a profit.

I can do this at home for the time being. And, its fun!

As many of you know, I have a neurological condition called Asperger's Syndrome, which is a form of Autism. What's more, I love it! I am extremely proud of who and what I am, and want to be able to do something for others like me.
This site has a growing community of people who in some way or another deal with Autism in their lives. Something many may not know is that a good number of Autistic children do not play, at least not in the same fashion other children do. What I'd like is to be able to send Christmas presents to a few of these children. Things like legos, gyroscopes, switch pitches, magnet sets... stuff Autistic children will really enjoy. How many I can help will depend on what toys seem most suitable for the individuals, and how much I will need to budget for shipping.

Funeral Expense Money for Rhonda (Dreamno1) and her family

Rhonda's daughter Shannon committed suicide Saturday, November 10th at their home. She shot herself in the backyard. Shannon has been very sick for 2-3 months now and the doctors could not find a reason. She lost 30 lbs in that time, and was deathly afraid that she had cancer, although none was identified.

Rhonda and her family are extremely overwrought and overwhelmed right now. An autopsy will be done in Atlanta, and they are going to a funeral home tomorrow to make arrangements. I'll be talking to Rhonda tomorrow, probably in the afternoon/evening. I'll give her all your love, but she may not be around for a while, I'm sure y'all understand that. They are trying to come up with $3,600, which is the minimum they have to come up with for the funeral, etc. The funeral home will let them finance the rest of the amount, which is an additional $2,000. Many members have stepped up and taken on providing Christmas for these children. So far they've adopted out over 60 kids! There's been an ongoing effort in the forum to ensure that members' kids have a nice Christmas. It's called the RHF Angel Tree, and so far they've adopted out over 60 kids! There are nine children left on the current list, plus there are more waiting for a third round. I'd like to adopt at least two more of the kiddos and make sure that they have some presents to open on Christmas morning. Unfortunately my personal pocketbook won't stretch that far, so I'm making this wish.

My oldest turns 16 tomorrow, asked for nothing but 130.00 for for a summer job (lifegaurd) licensing. My 12 yr old son is really sweet, has some pyschiatric problems. He sees a counselor weekly, on meds. Co-pays are crazy. "My" 11yr old daughter, I took she and her sister in 3 yrs ago when there mother decided she didn't want them, which was also the day after the little one had turned 4. Has serious issues with trust and depression. My 9yr old son, a great boy who has sensory depraivation disorder ,ADHD. very smart and loving,has co-pays for meds. next the other little girl who is 7 and wonderful. The little one is 3. I am pregnant with another. My husband has serious problems. comes and goes here as he pleases, sure he has some kind of substance abuse problem, does not support us. Years ago I had him thrown out physical abuse towards me. Made the mistake of taking him back after 2yrs because he had completed counseling, was working , I thought it was all good. No money to divorce , can't get him out, don't want the kids to deal with the trauma again. So I work full time, support my kids do the best I can. My sister has a degenerative muscle disease lives with us . She helps with as much as she can with the kids. She is in the middle of applying for disability. I have been on full bedrest for this pregnancy and now am trying desperately to survive ,feed all of us on $156.00 weekly, the max allowed by law. PLUS the catholic church I worked at replaced me and now I will be searching for a job after I give birth. Before you ask, yes I had sex with my husband, its easier to let him than it is to fight and refuse. He doesn't care what the kids here, only about himself. The amount I am asking has many purposes. Food in the house, medical bills, rent, bills, and the car I had is done. radiator, timing chain plus seats 5. We can never leave the house together. I have to make 2 trips to school. I need a van that runs that we fit in. Please if you can help us. I have always taught my kids to help others, even my job was in a church outreach center and now we are in need. Homemade Cookies & Hot Chocolate For The Homeless (2nd Try)

A little bit early I know... but I want to do homemade cookies and thermoses of hot chocolate for the homeless this Christmas Eve and wanted to give my wish an early start.

I got this idea last Christmas Eve when I was driving by the park on the way home from celebrating at my Grandmas House. There were a group of homeless gathered in the park. Just thinking about them and how they were spending their Christmas brought me to tears.
I wished I had something I could give them to show them a little Christmas spirit.

So I got to thinking about what kinds of things I might give to them and then it hit me something that I bet they don't ever get but conjures up images of Christmas and good times. Homemade cookies!
This year my goal is to provide 15 homeless men and women with a dozen Christmas cookies, a thermos full of hot chocolate and a Christmas card.

A very nice internet friend has been helping me collect thermos all year and I almost have enough of them. The money from my wish would go toward purchasing hot chocolate mix, baking supplies and a couple more thermoses from the thrift store.

No More Fighting In The Car!!!! I Need My Hair!!!

Help me save my sanity and my hair. I have two kids who absolutely drive me bonkers in the car with all of their fighting and bickering.
I am wishing to win the 50.00 of Naughty pot to use toward purchasing two Gameboy Advance SPs for my kids for Christmas. If I don't win they will still have Christmas but without Gameboys. 70.00 is more than I ever spend on one present let alone times two, which makes this wish truly Naughty for me.

The nice part of this wish is that if they get Gameboys I might actually have hair left. I can't tell you how much they fight in the car or how many times we have to pull over. What makes it really hard is that my oldest son is sensitive to sound so when they start yelling he starts yelling, pinching and banging on the window. Inevitably this also makes the baby start screaming. By the time we get home from a simple trip to the store or grandmas I am missing hair and my nerves are shot.

I coordinate a coupon project on Ebay and I send coupons to almost 70 people.
I get donations of postage and coupons but with the increasing request coming in I tend to run short. I am asking for you folks to send me your unwanted coupons. Even if they are expired.
I also send expired coupons to a military base in Germany. These coupons can be used up to 6 months after expiration.
It is truly rewarding to get an e-mail or message saying so and so saved X amount of dollars because I sent them coupons. I have done this project for about a yr and it has grown to a point where its hard to keep up with the demand.
If you would like to help and send me coupons please message me for my address. Any coupons are appreciated. I am excepting coupons as far back as June 2007. I can only ship a box every few months to Germany.

I was about ready to switch this wish to nice and COMPLETELY GIVE UP ON IT ON THE CAT ON MY MOTHER, but I will not allow that happen. This wish is naughty!! I have been told so in the rules of the forum, if you do not agree then go to the forum and change those rules. I personally follow the rules. This wish will NOT keep food in her belly, a roof over her head, clothes on her back, etc.
I feel this way, if the government does not provide an item to someone or help someone to get it (food, clothes, housing) then the item is not necessary and therefore naughty. The government DOES NOT provide cremation for pets, so it is a naughty wish.
This wish is for my mother, not myself.
She is an elderly woman on a very fixed income living in an efficiency apartment.
She lives with her one constant friend and companion, Spook.
Spook is a 17 year old all black male cat (85 in human years).
My mother's one and only wish in her declining years of life is this:
That she be able to cremate her friend.
When her time to go home comes probably not that far away, it is her one, only, last and final wish to be cremated and both her and her friend's ashes to be released together. So that they may go through all eternity together both in body and spirit. For that to happen, she needs to have her cat's ashes.

Artist coloring pencils/animal type slippers for two girls

Nicely used would be just fine, I'm simply hoping for them to have something to open on Christmas day.
I would like a set of artist coloring pencils for Jeanna and Veronica for Christmas and a pair of animal type slippers (bear, turtle, fish) for each (Jeanna-size 7 and Veronica-size 5). I put the wish in naughty since they could live without them, but it would be nice for them to have one or two gifts under the tree.
Neither one qualify for the Angel Tree or the local community help for the holidays (they help only up to age 10).
For those new to the site, Jeanna and Veronica are two girls I help each month. I met Veronica when we were both in the hospital at the same time. Both girls were abused by their father, then later by their grandmother. Help was asked for, but never given. One teacher said abuse wasn't happening and was child's imagination, one counselor said don't cause problems, and the family counselor said abuse was girl's fault for not wearing a robe.
Veronica is now suffering anorexia nervosa as a result. Their mother is on SSI from asthma, depression, COPD, and PTSD from a lifetime of abuse. Jeanna takes care of both of them. (more)

I would like to make a wish for my sister and brother in law. For 15 years they tried to start a family, and unfortuntly they had 3 stillbirths, all beautiful little boys. After 15 years and so much heart ache, they have had a beautiful little boy Matthew. He is 13 months old and is just the most amazing miracle.

They are having a hard time right now and are trying so hard to get ahead. I would like to wish for them, money to help them buy Matthew a few things for Christmas. He loves music of any kind, and enjoys listening to the Little Einsteins on my computer when comes to visit.
He likes any toys that makes music, or those that help a child learn. He also needs clothing very much. So if this wish would win, I would buy clothes first and then the toys. Help for transportation and hotel expenses for my mother

My mother was recently diagnosed with StageV renal kidney failure. She has insurance to cover most of her mediacl bills but there are things that insurance won't pay for. Such as transportation to and from dilysis which is 80 miles round trip. We have to pay for motels for the family to stay in and it is all adinng up and she really needs this treatment in order to stay alive. Let me tell you a little about my mother, she is 57 years old and is a wonderful mother. i have helped finacially as much as I can but I have a family to take care of and I have had to quit my job and my husband is working two jobs to support myself and our children. We hardly ever get to see him. With him working 8 in the morning until 10 or 12 at night. My mother has taken care of me and helped me out when at all possible and I would love to be able to do the same for her. I would never ask for charity unless it was the last choice I had and right now, this is my last option. No state help is available for her and so I ask please help my mother if at all possible.
