My sister just got a job, and really needs to get her van back on the road...

A wish for my sister Louise, and her children:
Toby, Shayla, Dustin, Brennen, and Brielle (twins).

In early July of last year
my 33 year old brother-in-law took a heart attack.
We had just watched our boy's baseball game and
was returning home when he took the heart attack
in their vehicle.

He was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital
in Baltimore Maryland.
I stayed with my sister in Baltimore the 3 months
that Craig was hospitalized.
During that time, he had a triple bi-pass and other
major surgeries to try and save his life.
My sister refused to pull the plug, because
he told her to do everything she could to save him.
During that time, Craig was only allowed one visit
from the children, because the doctors
didn't want the kids to see him this way.
During their one and only visit, he could
not talk with them because the doctors
were keeping him in full sedation,
so they could rest his heart.
This is their last memory of him.

Sadly, on October 4, after fighting for 3 months,
Craig took another heart attack that claimed his life.
This devastated our family.
Craig was such an awesome guy who took care of his family,
but had been living on SSi because of his disability.
You see Craig had a rare inherited eye disease called, PXE.
PXE destroys blood vessles, etc causing
blockages to the heart.
When he died, SSI took his check from my sister,
and wouldn't even give her money to help bury him!
They had no life-insurance, so all the burial/funeral costs
etc my sister is trying to pay for.

Last month my sister's van broke down.
This was her and the children's only means of travel.
They need to get to doctor's.
Also, they all play sports in their dad's memory.
He loved to watch the kids play sports, and volunteered
during football and baseball for the kids.
So, he told the kids to continue playing in his memory.

My wish is that you would help my sis get a vehicle.
And if you can't give money, maybe you know
someone who would donate a vehicle?
One that had room for her and the 5 children.

This wish is for Rhonda Rice (Dreamyno1) and her family to help cover funeral expenses. While I know the award is only $100 maximum, I am asking for a minimum of $200. I have taken the info that Lisa (4Leaf) posted at the forum.

Rhonda's daughter Shannon committed suicide Saturday, November 10th at their home. She shot herself in the backyard. Shannon has been very sick for 2-3 months now and the doctors could not find a reason. She lost 30 lbs in that time, and was deathly afraid that she had cancer, although none was identified.

Rhonda and her family are extremely overwrought and overwhelmed right now. An autopsy will be done in Atlanta, and they are going to a funeral home tomorrow to make arrangements. I'll be talking to Rhonda tomorrow, probably in the afternoon/evening. I'll give her all your love, but she may not be around for a while, I'm sure y'all understand that. They are trying to come up with $3,600, which is the minimum they have to come up with for the funeral, etc. The funeral home will let them finance the rest of the amount, which is an additional $2,000. In 1995, something horrible happened in my hometown. From Kathy Cremin's Blog on MySpace: I don't quite know how to start what I want to be said here. But I am going to try. Over 12 years ago, I had a happy little family. I had a good job. My children by all aspects were happy, well adjusted kids growing up where their parents grew up, in Somerville, Massachusetts. Although I had the regular concerns any parent of active teenagers does, murder was not remotely in my thoughts. My concerns lied in their personal and emotional health. Their education, and their drug awareness. Their social activities and personal friendships did not raise any red flags for what happened. March 30, 1995 is a day that I dread to remember. But I can relive it several times a day second for second. My beautiful daughter had been strangled to death and I did not know what to do. I had no idea how to handle this and live at the same time. There is no relief to this grief. I live with it. Her dad lives with it. My daughter and my two sons live with it. I think it is our love for one another that helps us to move on in our lives. When I look at my children and I appreciate so very much, how very proud I am of them. How very much I love each one of them. How I wish I could do away with all the evil in this world so it won't come near them ever again, it is a very scary and strange feeling. Because no matter what,I am always afraid something bad will happen. When things are at their best,that fear is always ever looming over. Yet, I can't let it defeat my, or anyone in my family's dreams, endeavors, and pursuits for success and happiness... I almost lost everything with meaning after Deanna was murdered. And I would have if I had continued to let grief control my life. I chose to let the love inside and surrounding me be my guide. I am so grateful to have what I have. But I will not just slide back and let Deanna's murderer not be pursued. I think we can all help this quest for justice. I have made many wishes and need help with a lot of things one of witch is my health problems I have Sarcidosis and have been very ill for a long time how ever I am making a new wish. Most of my friends on here know that my Grandma and my Aunt are very ill and I live very far away from them I am in Michigan and they are in Tennessee. You see my Grandma was like my mother I love her very much she is 93 years old and for as long as I can remember I have talked to her everyday she had a stroke about a month ago and since then I have not been able to talk to her and no one in my family will help me go down to see her, her own son my uncle told me I should not come to see her I should remember her the way she was that is wrong then he complained that if she says in the nursing home it will eat up our inheritance that is just awful I need to go see her before she dies. No one ever called her sent her flowers or cards on her birthday but me and now she has not even talked to me in a month even if she has had a stroke she knows what is going on and she must think I have given up on her like everyone else has! Please help me go to see my grandma I love her so much and it is killing me to not even be able to talk to her. I can not fly but my hubbie can drive me down so please find it in your heart to help me see my grandma before she dies and I never get to say goodbye!


She has had another stroke and things are much worse, I dont even know how much longer I have and if this wish is going to help me at all, but this is all I have to cling onto right now! I just love her so much!

$100 won't cover what we need by far. But it will help. We got a DISCONNECT notice in the mail the other day and we will be losing heat, cooking and hot water by the end of the week. It's starting to get cold here. We really need to keep the gas on. We have a couple of places trying to see what they can do but winter is coming and it is COLD here already. We are tying to find some electric heaters to keep this place warm still but even that isn't going to be much. We also need the gas to cook and for hot water. We've been making payments on this every month but when they are charging $450 a month during winter for gas it is CRAZY!! The electtric is up to date for now so that is good. My feet are FROZEN sitting here. Even if we could get a couple of those oil filled electric heaters and somehow get a cheap electric stove for cooking and heating water. We live on $1100 a month for a family of 7 with no child support coming in. $550 is rent. $375 was the budget plan on the gas ( which we were able to pay about $200-$300 a month ) Car insurance is $85 a month. Gas for the van is over $75 a month. We also have a loan payment coming out of the paycheck we get. Plus $33 a month just for meds for the kids. Here is a bit from this same wish we had awile ago for the same thing. We are really desperate. PLEASE HELP US!!!!

She is an elderly woman on a very fixed income living in an efficiency apartment.
She lives with her one constant friend and companion, Spook.
Spook is a 17 year old all black male cat (85 in human years).
My mother's one and only wish in her declining years of life is this:
That she be able to cremate her friend.
When her time to go home comes probably not that far away, it is her one, only, last and final wish to be cremated and both her and her friend's ashes to be released together. So that they may go through all eternity together both in body and spirit. For that to happen, she needs to have her cat's ashes.

Hey Friends, We need your help!!! On Sept 28th, we will be traveling to The Toledo Hospital
so that both Tessa and Joe can have some major tests and precedures done. These procedures
are necessary and part of a prevention. You see, the type of cancer that Tom has, is hereditary
and the kids need to be tested. Our kids are 15 and 12. These tests and procedures are quiet
tramatic for there ages and I'm so sorry they must go through it. But early detection is the best way to cope with such a disease.

We are wishing for help with expenses that will have with this trip. The medicine that they need to take before the procedure, (It is OTC but expensive) Gas to and from Toledo (1.5 hours each way) Parking Garage, LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of COFFEE FOR ME...lol and I would like to take them out for dinner on the way home as they will have not eaten since the previous day. The kids have asked me not to list the procedures they are having, so if you need more information please email me. They want that to be private. Gavin, an independent film maker I'm friends with on MySpace has a "dream dozen" of people who were most influentienal in tienal in his career choice.
Part of the how many days project is, that Gavin is now allowed to message these people in his dozen. Only his fans can contact them initially.
Gavin only makes contact after they have contacted him. He updates videos almost daily. Some are up to ten minutes and some are shorter than others. Every day you see a little extra behind the scenes, some of them are just to get a laugh and some of them are the most informative, heart touching, amazingly trying stories of struggles of others he's met.

One is Mila, a 2 year old girl from Arizona who recently passed away from an inoperable brainstem tumor. Her 3rd birthday was this August 17th. Andi would like to meet with Ellen to thank the world for their support of Mila, educate others on the type of tumor Mila had, introduce Gavin, And I think it would be great if we could get 2 of the bands of have done benefits and written songs to help Mila, Andi and the legacy Mila has made in her 2 years here on earth.(I know it would be near impossible to have all of these people all together seeing as they live all over the place, but its a "wish" right?=]) Ellen always loves meeting her fans and these would be the best guest she could ever have all year!

I am a stay at home mom to a 7 month old baby boy. His father works delivering papers at night for the mississippi press. I have 5 stepkids that stay with us plus our son. We are having a rough time getting tristen toys to play with because of bills. i would love for my son to be able to get some new toys. i also get his as much as i can but that is mainly food diapers and formula

My Family's Rent to be Paid (IMMEDIATE NEED)

My family and I are in SERIOUS need of our rent to be paid. My husband had to take time off work because my 12 year old daughter was in an hospital out of town. We were already behind because he had to take time off because he was sick from a kidney stone. We are doing work around our apartment complex, but the late fees keep adding up and it seems like we will never get caught up.

PRAYERS AND A CURE FOR ETHAN

Many of you may remember Baby Ethan Powell. Born 12/05/06 diagnosed with infant ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) 02/06/07. No marrow donor was found. Ethan underwent a very experimental stem cell transplant from his father. Everything has been very good until the seizures began and he was in a drug induced coma for close to a week. The tests came back 100% cells are Bens, meaning the transplant seemed to be working. Ethan began having seizures again. They ran some tests this past week.....1 in 20,000 cells is "abnormal". Preliminary tests show that it is most likely the leukemia returning. I am going to post the update here:
"2nd Update/2:28pm - [Ben] - It appears that the cancer cells have returned. It is not official yet, but one of our doctors here said that this is considered a POSITIVE MRD, meaning they are in fact cancer cells. We will speak with our transplant doctor again soon and find out in more detail. As we know more about this, we will update. We truly do not know anything else. With that said... please do not rush to the phone to call or feel pity for us. We would rather you PRAY and BELIEVE that through God... PRAYER WORKS!!!"

I am asking that everyone please remember Ethan in your thoughts and prayers. If the leukemia is back, that will most likely mean the end of the road. We are NOT going to let that happen. Just BELIEVE that PRAYER WORKS!
