A wish to show my daughter that magic still exists . . .
Just one month after her 7th birthday, my daughter ended up in the hospital with Bacterial Meningitis, fighting for her life. She spent 2 weeks in Intensive Care Unit, another 4-1/2 weeks in the hospital recuperating, plus 3 months in a wheelchair. The only thing she asked for during her struggle with Meningitis was to be able to return to Disneyland when she could walk again. I made her a promise that I will do everything to make that happen. This wish is for help to honor a promise made to a brave little girl, during the time when she fought hard for her life.
My daughter endured a lot in order to walk again, but she was a real little trooper and finally managed it - so I would like to keep my promise and make her wish come true. I am asking for your help to get my family to Disneyland for a short vacation! Any help with gas cards, gift cards to restaurants, savings on hotels, Disney gift cards (which can be used in the park), your votes, and your support are all welcome & much appreciated!
We have already checked into several children wish charities, but my daughter does not qualify because her condition is no longer life threatening. We have also tried other ways to get this wish granted, but with no success. If anyone has questions about all that we have tried, please PM me.
To fulfill this wish, and honor a promise made when she was struggling to stay alive and had only one wish which kept her going - we need all the help we can get. Her father (my husband) has a rare genetic disorder called Fabry's disease, and is disabled because of it. We live on a fixed income, so obviously Disneyland is an expensive trip for us. The trip will cost more than the $150 I am requesting with this wish. I intend to run this wish several times, until the goal is reached. Our family is pursuing other sources as well to make this happen.
So, my dear friends, if you ever wanted to push one of my wishes to the top.....then please make it this one! It would mean a world to me, and even more than that to my daughter.
