Please help me welcome, the newest member of the SAHM club-
Bridget Hoover!

I've known Bridget for quite a while now, through ths website and by phone. Our friendship started with a disagreement, we were mature about it and have been friends ever since lol.

Ever since I began talking to Bridget, I've heard her say how much she wanted to be a stay at home mom. Recently, Bridget left the full time job she has worked for 7 years. (Due to privacy, I will let her choose whether or not she wants to say why) I knew she was worried, who wouldn't be worried at going down to a one income household?

Then a wonderful opportunity recently presented itself. Bridget is going to become a party consultant for Slumber Parties! Slumber Parties is an adult themed home party business. With Bridgets sassy personality, total honesty and awesome outgoingness (sorry if thats not a word) I think she is a perfect fit for this company and will do very well for herself!
(Plus, being a fellow home party consultant, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for her!)

Bridgets new job means that now, during the daytime hours and most nights, she will be home with her children, just like she has been wanting for quite a while. I'm so glad she has this opportunity!

I'd like the rest of the stay at home moms to help me with this wish. You can not only vote on it, but use the comments section to leave suggestions. I'd love to spend the $40 on mailing a box out to Bridget full of stuff she will need now that she is a stay at home mom. You know, chocolate, bubble bath, Tylenol lol.... stuff like that. Come on! Leave those suggestions and your 5!

This is a woman who was in a situation that could have ended up with her scamming on the internet. (lol, ok, that was a joke) But instead, she picked herself up, brushed herself off and found the perfect new job for herself and her family.

Besides, she is Bridget. I love her. She is one of my best online friends, not a day goes by when I don't read her posts and giggle or gossip with her on the phone. Come on other SAHM, lets show her some love! (more)

Dee to be able to see without eye irritation

This is my first sincere wish in the nice category. I know everyone is used to me making goofy fun wishes, but I have a dear friend in need.

Our beloved Dee (R2D2, former Dschenberg) needs new contact lenses. I was on yahoo with her last night and she had to go. She said her eyes were burning very badly. I asked her if it was allergies and she said, "NO, it's my contacts. They are very old and I need some new ones." I felt so bad. She can't see without them, but her eyes hurt with them. I asked her how much it would cost to get her to the eye doctor and get her some new lenses and she said that she can get the visit with eye exam and the lenses for right at $100.00. That's when I decided I would make a wish for her.

With the help of Scotty and Randy, I have found the perfect pair and they are much cheaper than what I originally found. [ link ]

I changed my wish amount.

Justin has a very hard time blocking out noises around him. He works much better when it is completely silent. In school, there are 20 other students. At home, there's a little brother and a very loud big sister. He is extremely intelligent, but isn't able to accomplish the smallest school assignments because of the noises.

I found some headphones online that are called noise-cancelling headphones. They block out ALL noises. He can wear these while doing homework, he can wear these when he is having a meltdown and just needs quiet time, he can wear these when he reads a book (which he loves to do). They range anywhere from $30.00 up to $200.00. I feel sure I can find him a good pair for under $50.00 (shipping costs included). If this wish wins and I find some cheaper, I will use any left over and let him purchase a good astronomy book.

This wish is very important to me and Justin. I feel terrible that I don't have the extra money to just go buy these. We are still playing catch up from David being laid off and I don't see an end in sight anytime soon. (more)

Well, thanks to Erin (Redscorner) I will be able to purchase these portraits for my friends!!! Yep, she sent me $100 via paypal!!!
I am still in shock that someone would do something so kind! Many Many thanks to those of you who voted and supported this wish---I appreciate it so much!

Some of you know I'm a photographer in addition to being a wife, mom, & registered nurse. I recently took some portraits of my best friend and her two daughters three days before she had surgery which confimed she has stage 3 ovarian cancer. She is currently undergoing very intense chemotherapy, since the cancer has also been found to have spread to her lymph nodes. I want to order some of the portraits for them. Even though I can get them at a professional discount it still adds up quickly. I would really like to be able to do this for them since her prognosis is not good and she may not be here next Christmas. Please keep this family in your prayers--they are going through so much right now!

If anyone wants to see the portraits please PM me and I'll give you the link to my website. Please help me do this for them!!

I would also like to order some portrats that I took of Digger's baby boy, as well as Bridget's family (Findingmyfriends), so if this wish wins THREE families would benefit with some beautiful portraits that will be cherished for many years to come!

Digger needs to visit her sister!!

I wish for an electric skillet for myself AND for the Ferst Family so that we can cook some really awesome smothered pork chops.

My wish is in the naughty category because it is a WANT not a NEED. I saw the Ferst Family put up a wish two weeks ago for an electric skillet and I got to thinking that I always wanted one myself. So when she didn?t win, I decided to wish for both of us. If I win, I will send half the money to the Ferst Family and both of us will have our dream of having an electric skillet. So you will be helping two people by voting on one wish. Not to mention the wish is only for $85.00 so someone else can win as well.

This large electric skillet is perfect for frying, grilling, roasting, stewing, baking and making casseroles. It is a 16" electric skillet for $38.88 at Walmart. The $85.00 covers the cost of two skillets with taxes.

I have never made a wish before other than for participation points when I was PattiB. I always buy things for my family and never for myself. I really want a skillet so I can cook new things. When I was young, my friend's step-mom used to cook these really good pork chops in her skillet. They were soo good I still remember them today.
