I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm starting to get pretty fed up with the "Poor me, someone voted a 4 on my wish" ish" cries. Seriously, I am tired of people trying to guilt trip people by coming to the forums and whining that everybody hates them because they haven't gotten many votes. Especially after only a couple of hours of voting!
Another thing, your friends do not DESERVE to win, and neither do you. The only person who deserves to win is the one who manages to rally the support to do so. This is a wish site, for crying out loud.
You may have noticed that I haven't been my jovial, helpful self lately. Well, frankly that is because this is not the RHF I joined, and it's starting to get to me. This site is better than what it has become, and until people stop perverting it, I'm going be the asshole, and stand up.
BE the change you want to see. Stop complaining. Stop "calling people out." Stop being so bloody whiny!

I wish Ashley's Cancer had not come Back

Today 9/4 we found out that the cancer is back full force. She was in Remission for a whole 3 weeks. Our family has reached a real hardship with our financis. We are falling behind on bills trying to make sure we have gas to take her to and from her appointments. Now we just added more meds to her list, the cost just keeps piling on us. We are maxed out on al of our credit lines. Please help. (more)

Funeral for Sophia

Our insurance company does not want to pay for my daughter's funeral because she only lived 4 months, after being born April 28, 2007, 10 weeks early with a congential heart defect. I have been unable to work since January, so we have wiped out our savings. She was transferred to a hospital about 45 mintues from where we live in Chicago where gas is about $3.25 per gallone. Our baby brought so much joy and love into our lives and all those who met her. She spent 19 hours home from the hospital before we had to rush her back, we just need a little help to create her memory for the world. She passed away on Monday September 3. 2007 (more)

Grocery Money, My husband just passed away this past weekend

This has been the longest three weeks of my life, and the most devastating. On august 20th I was rushed to the ER with high blood pressure and my kidneys were shutting down. I was 30 weeks pregnant with twins, little girls we had tried for 5 years to conceive. I had to undergo emergency Cesearean section. My babies were born at just about 2 lbs. It was touch and go for a moment but they are doing well now and will only been in for about 3 more weeks.
This past saturday, me and my husband went to bed at 11 pm as usual. When I woke up the following morning, I couldnt get him to wake up. He was 31 and he passed away in his sleep. I got my son out of the house and then had 911 called. I didnt want him to see his father that way, he is only five.
He had no life insurance and our house was paid by his job. I can stay here for a few more months but thats all.
I am staying strong for my 3 babies. They need me right now. I beleive G-d decided I should have the babies early so that they can meet their father before he passed from this world.
MOnty worked as a job placement coach for Mentally handicapped adults. He helped them find jobs, took them shopping, made sure they took their medications and overall just listened to them and was their friend.
His memorial service yesterday was packed with the people he touched throughout his short life here. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, I had to say goodbye to a young man who I love so dearly and lost so quickly. (more)
