Picture this...

You have to drive your daughter to school, but you can't. Why? Because you left your carseat in the van and your husband took the van to work lol.

This is something that happens to us on a weekly basis. Luckily, my mom lives two blocks away, so I can call her when I have a carseat/driving kids to school emergency. Still.. its a pain in the backside. I'm sure my mom would much rather sleep in, than getting up to take a child to school because her parents forget to take the carseat out of the van.

This would all stop and my mom would get her much needed sleep, if I had an extra carseat to keep in the van. That way, I wouldn't have to transfer that big old lunky thing everytime we want to go somewhere in the van. (Let me explain... if we go somewhere where we actually want to open the drivers side door, we need to take the van. But thats a whole other story lol) Plus, have you ever transferred a carseat? Dealt with readjusting the seatbelts? Tried to stick your arm through that tiny hole? Now, think about this... have you ever done all that when you have 10 minutes to be at the school dropping your daughter off? (lol)

Anyways, I found some on walmart.com that range from $45.00 to $150.00 .... so I figured I'd shoot for middle range $75.00. I may change it later, after I've actually been to Walmarts and checked out the $45.00 carseats to see if they look safe.

his 13th birthday.As most of you know Sherri took Joe (her 12 yr.old son) to the doctor this week because of him being very tired, thirsty, brusing alot, achy everywhere, and she was scared it could be his kidney again, as some of you know he has Hydronephritis (Im sure thats mispelled) and he had kidney surgery in 04 to undo a blockage in his ureters (again, mispelled) and upper pelvic junction.
He only has 27 percent use of his right kidney. So the doctor did the normal exam and did a UA with no signs of infection! And then to the hospital for blood work, they took 3 vials of blood, and are going to test for Diabetes and Anemia.



Joe is so upset. They had a long positive talk with him and told him that we'll just take it one day at a time, if the tests show anything, and that it is very easy to manage. On May 12th he has appointment with Dr. Kenneth Kropp in Toledo, who is his Ped. Urologist. He will do a ultrasound on the kidney to test it's function.



Joe's 13th Birthday is June 15th. He said no matter what, he's going to Chucky Cheese.....LOL LOL LOL... So he thinks.

Sherri Is so nice and has done many contests here. Can we as a community help her make her boys dream come true? This family has been through so much. I admire their strength. No matter what is thrown their way they work together as a family and don't let it get them down. Thanks to all for reading and many thanks for voting.

You have the power to fight back against a disease that affects millions. im a wife, a daughter, a stepmother, a nanny, & a sister.i am 26. i have crohns and have been living with it for at least 10 years, ive been on just about everything from over 30 pills a day, to 3 hr remicade treatments, to self injections. ive survived 5 major abdominal surgeries already and still have hospital bills over 5,000. i went from having long hair to it falling out by the handfuls =( that just goes to show you how strong some of these medications really are! i went from weighing 90 something lbs in one year to weighing in at my heaviest weight EVER at 120lbs all in a matter of months. i was happy for the weight gain. but the "MOON" face from the steriods was so unencouraging. i have trouble keeping weight on and im now struggling to stay over 100 lbs once again. i was also hospitalized for 3-4 days in march 08. but as for as the crohns goes, im a SURVIVOR. ive recieved over 24 pints of blood for one surgery and came close to death more then once. my older sister also has this disease. it is hereditary. she is also in the process of trying to get hers under control. i have a very SERIOUS case, it is becoming more common now but most ppl i know that have it, havent under gone even 1 surgery. yet all of them have been hospitalized. Take Steps for Crohn?s & Colitis is the nation?s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Not only am I participating in this event, but I am raising money for crucial research that wouldn?t even have been possible a few short years ago. xo rach

this is a wish that I have been trying to get since July.. I am a mom to three beautiful kids and I am fighting so hard to beat all this but I am off of 600 a month. I cant pay my rent which is 1765 a month.. Yeah you heard it right!! I live in Mass and its so expensive here. I put this in the nice area because its not really something that I just want its something I need so I can adhere to the dress code.
Me- I am a mom to three lovely kids and I have cancer. Its been a battle full of highs and lows(mostly lows) I have been out of work since May when I was diagnosed with stage 2a cervical cancer. I have done chemo, radiation and brachytherapy. Right now I havent had any treatments in over a month so my body can recover from all the side effects of treatments. The treatments have caused me many problems such as liver and kidney damage, hair loss, blood clots and much more. I waited for a long time for ssi/ssd and just cant wait any more. I owe my landlord 1000's of dollars in back rent and owe to the utility companies so i decided I WONT LET CANCER GET THE BEST OF ME!!! I decided I am going to get a job and not just a lousy job but a good one. GUESS WHAT?? I succeeded. I found a job as an admitting rep at the hospital which is 5 minutes from my house. they start at 13 an hour which is great considering my background is in credit processing and analyst not in the medical administration. The problem is I dont have any business casual clothes and it stinks cause the dress code is business casual..

My daughter's friend Ashley lost her dad in a motorcycle accident on Oct 26, 2007. He was riding down the highway right outside of our town, and was in a hurry because it was his wedding anniversery with his wife Cathy and he was trying to get home so they could celebrate. Unfortunately he was traveling about 85 mph and he clipped a semi truck and never made it home. We all heard the sirens but we were unaware of how it would affect our small community.
Word has spread quickly, and now we are trying to help Cathy and her kids for Christmas.
Ashley is 9 years old and the other boy is 15.
My hope is to get them 2 50.00 gift cards to walmart. One for each child so their mom can pick out what she wants to get them. I have received 20.00 in donations from another site and will concontinue to edit this wish to reflect any further donations.

What is weatherization? This home is barely a roof over our heads. I know 100 is just a drop in the bucket but it would help.

The kitchen cabinets are partical board that is falling about from leaks in the ceiling. At one time there was a leak under the sink so the cabnits are rotten under there. Where the air conditionar is it has leaked down the wall and is rotten (which we tried to fix). The lanolium is peeling and revealing partical board. And the floor is rotten because there is a big hole where company fell through, lucky they werent hurt. I was mortified. There is holes in the ceiling because of leaks (that we have tried to fix the roof repeatedly, that hasnt helped.)

The living room needs new carpet. There is a hole where there used to be a wood stove that leaks (we tried to fix it). There is a rotten spot by the door that can fall in anytime.

My kids share an area divided with a curtain. We never could afford to fix that. Their rooms are small, my son doesnt even have a closet.

The bathroom needs new flooring before the bathtub and toilet fall through. There is holes in the ceiling. The wall paper is peeling off the wall.

In our bedroom, one time the heater exploded and water was all over the foor and it caused the wood to rot.

We would like to move but not possiable at this time. Not even sure we will ever be able too.

PLEASE HELP MY DAUGHTER AND HER 4 KIDS? SHE HAS CVID AND LYMPHOMA. SHE HAS 4 CHILDREN. They have been through so much. My daughter Coleen is a single Mom and she is very ill. She has to go for infusion treatments every three weeks to survive. She can't even have chemo because her immune system does not function properly...and I cry all the time worrying about my daughter and my hands are tied and I just have to sit by and watch her health fail week after week. She was engaged to a wonderful man, and they were suppose to be married and he was killed in a motorcycle accident!!! She had twins a baby boy and baby girl, she named the girl "HOPE" of all names.....well I am so saddened because HOPE passed away at birth and Cory lived!!! Not only has she gone through all of these heartaches, but she was wiped out of everything by a hurricane and she and the kids came up north to live with us, just to get back on her feet again. She has been through HELL AND BACK and she is only 37 years young. She is so depressed from all of the things she has gone through in life, and I just wated to help her in some small way to have a weeked away with the children.

I just wanted to put a smile on her face and tell her how many people are praying for her and how many people love her. I feel like such a loser myself because I can't even afford to just hand her $300 and say here....now just go out and have some fun for a change with the children. PLEASE HELP MY DAUGHTER AND HER 4 KIDS? SHE HAS CVID AND LYMPHOMA. SHE HAS 4 CHILDREN. They have been through so much. My daughter Coleen is a single Mom and she is very ill. She has to go for infusion treatments every three weeks to survive. She can't even have chemo because her immune system does not function properly...and I cry all the time worrying about my daughter and my hands are tied and I just have to sit by and watch her health fail week after week. Most of all I need your prayers for my Coleen. She is such a Great MOM and person. She is my BEST FRIEND!!!

She was engaged to a wonderful man, and they were suppose to be married and he was killed in a motorcycle accident!!! She had twins a baby boy and baby girl, she named the girl "HOPE" of all names.....well I am so saddened because HOPE passed away at birth and Cory lived!!! Not only has she gone through all of these heartaches, but she was wiped out of everything by a hurricane and she and the kids came up north to live with us, just to get back on her feet again. She has been through HELL AND BACK and she is only 37 years young. She is so depressed from all of the things she has gone through in life, and I just wated to help her in some small way to have a weeked away with the children.

I just wanted to put a smile on her face and tell her how many people are praying for her and how many people love her. I feel like such a loser myself because I can't even afford to just hand her $300 and say here....now just go out and have some fun for a change with the children. I never ever ask for anything in life for myself...but I am asking THIS COMMUNITY to help me put a smile back on her face ok? Prescription For Fun

I am Miss Spunky and like so many other mothers in the world, I also play Doctor MOM! I am prescribing a weekend of fun for my daughter.

My daughter is in some serious need of some fun. She needs to spend some time with her children and make some memories before her health no longer allows her to. She is battling a terminal cancer and CVID, and I would love to give her a weekend away from her normal life. She needs some fun - something to distract her from her illness and to make lasting good memories with her children before it is too late.

Instead of worrying about her next infusion treatment, I would love to see her smiling and walking on the beach. Instead of worrying about her hair falling out, I want to see her laughing with her children at a movie. Adrienne has something called Pyelonepheritis a rare but potentially fatal kidney infection. She was diagnosed with it on August 23 this year. She was put on Bactrim but less than a week after finishing her medication she started running fever in excess of 103 and having severe pain in her kidney area. She was then put on Nitrofuration. Unfortunately this medication did not clear up her infection either and she was hospitalised on October 8th and received IV antibiotics. Her doctor talked with her at length about going on kidney dialysis. When she was released from the hospital she came home with an antibiotic called Cipro which is not recommended for children but the only thing that would work for this infection.
