By the time the end of the month comes along we are usually pretty much out of food. It would be nice to be able to get a few extra cans of tuna, a few boxes of noodles ( like elbow macaroni ) a couple loaves of bread, mayo, sandwich meats, a couple of sweet onions ( for sandwiches and with tuna & noodles for tuna salad )a couple boxes of cereal. The usual pantry items to help stretch everything we have.
We have received a bit of help with this wish, but with spring break coming up soon the kids will be home from school for 2 weeks straight so I am going to leave the amount as it is for now.

Getting off to a good start in school is so important to the educational success of children. Nothing helps start off the new school year right like a new ( or near new) back pack full of fun school supplies. I know my own children love to get a new backpack of school supplies on the first day.

I'd like to help get some of the young kids ( Kindergarten thru Second) here at Gon off to a good start by sending those whose parents might not have the money for new school supplies a package containing either a back pack or lunch bag with some great school supplies to start the year off.
I remember last year quite a few people posted in the community forum that they were in need of school supplies. If I win my wish 1/2 of the money will be spent on supplies and 1/2 will go toward shipping costs. My husband works for Walmart so I will get a discount in addition to their already great prices pn back to school supplies.

We aren't sure if we are completely done having children. We do know we aren't ready for anymore right now. I want to have an i.u.d. put in. They last up to 5 years. I am unable to take the pill for medical reasons, so after many discussions with my doctor, this is our best option. It seems very expensive, but it covers 5 years. If I was able to take the pill, over time, it would end up being a lot more expensive. I would have to pay $30 a month and that would end up being $1800 for 5 years. As far as condoms go, I am allergic to latex, so I would have to use lambskin or polyurethane. The polyurethane are $6 each. So if I get lucky twice a week :) it would cost me $3120 for 5 years. The Mirena is $700.00. My insurance will cover most of it, I will have to pay $100. So for $100 I would be safe for 5 years. I would love to enjoy my sex life with my husband with out the fear of creating another child right now. LOL. I would appreciate everyone's help in making this happen. [ link ]

I try not to ask for much but right now I am in need big time. We have canceled my wedding until next year, canceled our vacation to NJ until whenever we can go. We have been living off of top ramen and peanut butter sandwhiches just so we can get by paying the bills. Jim (my fiance') got hurt and was out of work a little over a week, he will only get 1 day pay back from workman comp because it was only one day over the waiting period then he went back. I am trying to find a job like crazy to no avail. My mom moved out and into her own place so we dont have that financial help anymore. I would love to take the money and put it towards some food. I am not eligible for any assistance because somehow we are just over the income level with my sons SS. If it werent for my two older children going to the boys and girls club 4x a week where they are fed dinner we would have completely run out of food here a while ago. The food banks here have not recieved donations in a long time due to the rising cost in food and gas prices. I have nowhere else to turn to. This is truely a need please help!

Even though a lot of you know me here, there is one thing you may not know and that is how special my grandma is to me. She has always been more like a mom to me than a grandma. When I was a kid she was the one who watched us and bought us clothes, but she didn't just do for me. She did for my sister, my cousins, and anyone else she could. My grandma is not rich by all means, she is just very responsible with money and very rarely wastes it. My grandpa is still working full time on his feet all day in his 70's. The 2 of them have helped their 3 children, their grandchildren, and their great grandchildren. It breaks my heart that they sacrifice everything just to help others. I wish that they would do something for themselves, even if it is just to see a movie.

I know that no one is perfect, but she is so close it isn't even funny. She is such an inspiration to everyone that has ever been lucky enough to meet her. Words can not describe what my grandparents mean to me.

On April 25, 2008 my father in law suffered a massive heart attack and passed away in his kitchen. My mother in law was the only one there with him when it happened, they had been married for 43 years. My husband and I have lived beside them the entire 10 years that we have been together, and as their health has declined we have taken care of them daily. My eight year old has seen his "Papa" and they have played everyday of his life until last Saturday. We need a day to escape our grief. You see being at home only reminds us of him. He built both his house and ours. Every nook and cranny of both houses are filled with our memories of him. We all need one day, where we aren't reminded of him with every breath. This is extremely important for all of us, but more so for my son and my mother in law than any of us.
We had been planning a trip to the zoo for all of us when school got out. I would like to still make this trip, but with the expense of a funeral (he had no life insurance) our already strained budgets just will not allow it without your help. I am wishing for $80. The price of admission to the Nashville Zoo is $13 per adult, and $8 per child. This is the zoo closest to our house. I am wishing for enough for admission for myself, my husband, my mother in law and my son. The rest of the money I would use for food during our day out, and if there is enough left a small souvenir for my son.

This is not a need! But it is really high up on my list of wants, lol. I just came through a horrible divorce from an abusive man. OK, this is my greedy wish! Lol, I want to take my little one out to a movie, complete with popcorn, cokes and candy. And I want me and him to go and eat at the New China Buffet that just opened in our town! I know this is nowhere near a need, but I want it, Lol!

You see I just came through a horrible divorce, and me and the little guy have literally been counting our pennies for the last couple of weeks. So, I want to show him that we left a bad deal, complete with lots of emotional abuse, and are headed into a much better life. I want him to see how much fun it can be to smile, laugh, be a kid, and have a mommy who can actually enjoy it! Y'all he has seen that life can be hard, that it can be full of tears, that sometimes mommies are too terrified to even move or speak. Now, let me show him that life can be fun, it can be full of fun, and mommies sometimes love to laugh and play!

This is my most sincere greedy wish! I want to take my son out for the night. He is eight and great, lol! I just went through a horrible divorce, and I want to show him how fun life can be. My ex was very controlling and very emotionally abusive. I finally got up the nerve to step away, and I want to show my little one that life is truly about smiling, laughing and can be wonderful! Problem is I am broke, lol! We do alot together, money or not. We go to the park, we take walks, we jump on the trampoline and play in the yard. But honestly, just one night I want to take him somewhere for dinner, and then take him to see a great kids movie. I want to be able to eat dinner and buy him popcorn, cokes and candy while we watch the movie! I know it is greedy, and we could do it alot cheaper I am sure, but if I am going to be greedy, I might as well be all out greedy, lol!
