I have a son that is 22 years old and was diagnosed with a Grade IV aggressive brain tumor cancer, a GBM, Glioblastoma Multiforme, the worst kind of brain tumor, on 5/11/08.
He had no insurance or money to pay the ambulance service that transferred him to UVA Hospital to have brain surgery on 5/13/08. The hospitals have all approved charity for him.
The ambulance service is a private business and are trying to rip people off with outrageous amounts they charge without informing someone of their charges beforehand. They do not approve charity cases because they are a private business, not a hospital.
He has never worked because he used to take care of me because I am disabled. The state or social services in Virginia will not go back this far in May of 2008 to help him with this bill as they didn't make him disabled eligible with limited medical expense help until June of 2008.
He was transferred by ambulance from one ER to another ER and the ambulance was required on May 11, 2008. We don't have enough money to pay this bill and they keep adding late charges.
He has no assets and own no property, no house, we rent.
He need to get this paid so the both of us don't have this to worry about it. Now I am getting worse with my disability and something new medically is going wrong with me. My car needs something major fixed soon also as we still continue to drive over 200 miles to UVA when we go for appointments, treatments and tests for the both of us.
Please consider helping Chance take care of his bill. Thank you so much for looking at my requested need for him.
