BABY ELY IS AUTISTIC PLEASE HELP WITH ABA THERAPY 3RD TRY
This is my third try for Ely. My son is 18 months old and diagnosed with moderate Autism & Oral Aversion. Ely is non-verbal and has very little communications skills. His developmental pediatrician has recommend a minimum of 10 hours of ABA therapy a week. In Texas ABA Therapy is not covered by medicaid or insurance. The therapist charge $100.00 an hour. We have been in contact with an organization here that works with college students and provides therapy at a reduced rate. Ely went for his evaluation on Thursday and goes back next Thursday for the other half of the evaluation. In the mean time we were asked to purchase Language Builder Picture Cards to be used as part of his therapy. These cards are $159.99 we will use the wish money towards that purchase. New Children's Homeless Shelter in Indianapolis needs help..
Restoring Lives West was opened up this year to serve the west side of the city of Indianapolis, which has been devoid of any services for homeless children. They have one paid social worker and some volunteers. The social worker, Hope, was told by a long time children's shelter workers on the East side not to be disappointed if she only had 12 to 16 kids come in this year. They are already helping over 37 and last month could not meet their budget. |

A Date With My Baby Boy!
I am wishing for the chance to take my little boy out for dinner and a movie. He is eight and fabulous! I want for one night for me and him to be able to afford to go out to eat at the local New China Buffet, then head over to the theater and take in a movie (Hopefully, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which he has been dying to see) and get cokes, candy and popcorn while we are there! |
