I've been making music for a while on my desktop, but I can't start gigging with it cause I'm using a desktop.
If I had a laptop, it'd make performing and recording so much easier. Ideally the laptop'd be an iBook because they are geared towards musicians and artists although anything around 1.5ghz would do for audio work.
I would use it to write and perform electronic music, along the lines of The Postal Service, Aphex Twin and Colonopenbracket, although I'm planning to use more interesting MIDI controllers to control the sound such as bend sensors, lights sensors and potentiometers. No samples as of yet, and I realise how this affects my chances of getting votes, but hey, I can try.
Having a laptop designed for creative work would also help my other goal at the moment: to get a clothing company started and established. This however, is an idea for when I
have more time away from studies and all that jazz.
