Help bring awareness to this disease
I have a disease called Sarcoidosis and it is slowly robbing my life from me. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful 7 year old (that is him in the profile pic). I recently opened up a chapter of a Sarcoidosis non profit in my area and have had several newspaper article written about me and the organization. I would like to be able to purchase more brochures and buy some pens to be able to send to those who are interested. I have been paying for a lot of these things out of my own pocket, but it does get expensive. There are so many others out there that have this disease, it is a rare inflammatory disease, that do not have access to the internet and rely on getting information from their doctors office or through the library. A plane ticket for my sister to come see me.
I moved from NY 2 years ago scared to raise my children there after 9/11. When I got to Arizona I was diagnosed with a disease called pulmonary sarcoidosis, which doctors are saying I might have breathed alot of dust from the trade center causing my disease. To boot my little girl has had a really bad time with her being sick. She has had RSV 2ce and has really bad asthma from it which ended her up in the hospital a week before x-mas last year with pnumonia. She is a trooper. A few weeks ago I flew back to NY because my grandma( who was more of a mother to me than my own) is dying of liver cancer. I got to say my last goodbyes. I came back to Arizona to be diagnosed with valley fever on top of my sarcoid. I really have no friends out here and I feel alone. I would really love to see my sister who means the world to me. She has never been here. This year has to get better for me and my family. Please help me. Thank you. |

A digital camera for my good friend
My friend Mark is such a terrific man. His wife has sarcoidosis but is also an alcoholic and drug user. He has been dealing with this for 16 years and is done!! He is trying to rediscover who he is and one thing he has lost in years of taking care of his wife and 3 kids is his love of photography. Every time he gets the money set aside for buying a camera, he ends up having to use it to cover a bill because his wife has drained their bank account again. His wife is in rehab and he is so stressed and worn out. This roller coaster has really started taking its toll on him and I know that if he was able to start doing something that he enjoyed he would be able to cope a lot better. Please vote high on this wish. I know that there are other wishes out their as good or even better than this one, but this would mean so much to me. Thank you for reading. |

Life Saving Heart Repair Surgery
I am a 34 year old mother of 3.I have a condition sometimes called myxomatous degeneration where the valve of my heart is deteriorating,causing blood to back up and strain the muscle making it swell.I have medical insurance but it has 50000 yearly max.I have used up most of this years coverage in doctors,hospitals and tests.My doctor says there is no choice in the matter,valve replacement is the only thing that can fix it and it needs to be done in the next 6 to 8 months.I will be off work for at least 8 weeks or longer if any complications arise, after release from the hospital,and I wont have any income for that time.I need to set back money for my kids during this time.My estimated hospital stay is 10 days after surgery so I will have a pretty big bill to contend with.I am hoping for my wish to be granted even though 500 is the top amount.Any amount will do at this point.Thanks. |

Apartment Fire Almost Killed my Girlfriend and Her Son
The love of my life and her son almost didn't make it out of an apartment fire that started in her apartmen. The firemen couldn't understand how they made it out. Her landlord never came to fix the smoke detectors. The whole building was a loss. I'm saving for a down payment on a house, but I don't have much money to build a household item fund. We have very little, and anything would be much appreciated. She cannot work right now and collects a small amount of disability for bipolar disease and now post traumatic stress disorder. I want to be there for her and help as much as I can so we can start our little family. She lives with her mother who is very toxic. I want to get her out of that situation as fast as possible. Funds for Lori's Medical Emergencies
My daughter's name is Lori, she is five years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumor last June in 2006 when she was four. It has been really tough with all the bills and gas and we also have a one year old so yopu can imagine all the expenses. My husband is the only one working I stay home to watch the girls and care for Lori. I'm the only one that can properly care for her. Anyway she is on Chemotherapy and the clinic she has to go to is an hour away and it's a lot of gas. She also gets sick and we have to run to the Hospital which is right next door to the clinic where she recieves treatment. Besides all of that she needs all sorts of med's prescription and non-prescription as well as supplements. As you can see the cost goes up aside from regular bills. I'm asking today for money to save for emergencies since we don't have a penny to save at the moment. Thank you for reading and to all those that vote for us. |

Here's the thing. I'm a single mom. I've been divorced since May of 2000. I have a full-time job working in an elementary school, and I raise a child with severe autism. He takes up a TON of my time and attention, so I have not really pursued dating at all. I have not had a date since my divorce, and I really would very much like to get out there and meet people! |

Money for my mom's surgery.....4th try and I'll keep trying
My mom is still in need of surgery so I thought I'd try again. My mom's shoulder still hasnt been fixed so we're still saving for surgery and checking into every place we can to get help. We've been to state agencies and any other place that we can think of to help....she seems to just fall through the cracks everywhere. She is in pain all the time and it's so hard to see her hurt so badly and not know what I can do. Her shoulder is just getting worse all the time and somehow we have to get this money to get her surgery done. The doctors want the majority of the money up front and the hospital said they have to a huge portion of it up front. I thought people were more compassionate than they are.....most just think of the money. I know this isnt life threatening but still she is in so much pain and she shouldnt have to be. And it's an awful thing for a person to have to be in pain for so long and not be able to have anything done about it. She has always done for everyone else before herself and now I cant help her and I love her so very much. She has been a foster parent for 15 years and still has 4 kids at home that she has adopted. She continues to do all that she can for her kids no matter how much pain she is in. I'm hoping and praying that we can get the money together soon so she can have the surgery and go on with her life. I realize I ask for alot of money and we wont get that but I also know that any amount we get will help to bring us closer to her surgery. Thank you to all who have voted before and I'm asking that you vote again and help us get the money to have her surgery done. A new television
About 3 years ago, our television broke. We couldn't afford to fix it or replace it, so since then we've been using a tiny tv that you can't even watch from across the room. My kids have to sit on the floor and crane their necks up to watch it. I'm afraid their necks will permantly remain this way! Just kidding. But this has been on of my biggest naughty wishes for awhile, but we haven't been able to justify spending the money on such a luxury. I don't want anything fancy, no plasma 982489inch screen or anything. Just a basic 32 inch....something that we can acutally watch without having to squint to read and words on the screen. 4th Try: $ for Prescriptions & Doctors
My 4th try, I'm 22 years old & the past 5 years have been dealing with horrible health problems. ems. I've been covered by the state's bad health insurance since I was diagnosed w. Evans Syndrome, Lupus & Fibromyalgia, but have been denied disability several times. Just recently, the state decided to pull my medical insurance. I've been trying to get off of Prednisone, which causes severe withdrawal symptoms along with my already increased sensitivity to pain. I also suffer from a lot of intense anxiety problems, & am absolutely desperate for any kind of help. Money donated/won will be used for prescriptions, doctors visits, disability application requirements, bandaids, sunscreen, and other living necessities many people take forgranted. |

Medication help for Swiss!!
I put this wish in the naughty category but I think it's a nice wish. Swiss has been trying for 4 rounds now to have her wish granted. She really needs funds for prescriptions and other needs. I suffer from an autoimmune disorder myself so I understand the amount of frustration that you have when you need medications but can't afford them. Some others bashed her last wish because she said she needed bandaids and sunblock. When you have a disease that feeds off the sun, you have to keep yourself protected at all times. I can go into the sun for just a few minutes and get broken out. Please help to grant my wish. And after you vote for me, please go and vote on Swiss's wish. We need to help her to get the basic things that she needs for her own survival. Please help to alleviate some of the stress from her life. A special wish 4 my terminally ill little girl Macy. Thanks
I am placing this wish again & I hope you all won't mind:) Macy is 8 yr old & has Mitochondrial Disorder Complex I + Hereditary editary Spasticity Syndrome. The 1st is the worst, it is terminal. She has spent much of her life in & out of hospitals, & is now severely crippled. I have focused my life now, on finding a cure or treatment to save her. When the doctor told me it was terminal, & there was nothing they could do, my life was over, or so I felt. |

a plane ticket for my dying son.
My son 45 yo, was diagnoised with cancer in his brain, lungs and elsewhere, it is inoperable, and given less than a year to live. This was done in December. He has been taking chemo therapy, but is not doing well at all. I am wanting to be able to send him a plane ticket, so he can have one last visit with the family. This would be his last trip home. |

The MRI tests my husband needs
As some of you already know, 9 years ago my husband was in a horrible car crash. He was hit head on by a drunk driver in a stolen truck. The driver of the truck that hit his SUV was never found...he or she just walked away from the accident. My husband's Toyota was hit so hard it spun several times and the engine block was split in half. To repair it would have cost more than the vehicle did new. I have a picture that I will post here soon of the 4runner after the accident. My husband was unconcious for almost a day and had some swelling and bruising of his brain along with many other injuries. At the time he was treated at a second rate hospital and was never given the proper tests to ensure he would be alright. We already know he has 4 herniated discs in his lumbar spine and some fragments pushing into his spinal canal...the sad thing is he is not able to have surgery due to his young age. No doctor will touch him because he is 28 years old and there is a very real danger that he could be paralyzed. I guess none of them wants to be sued if there is a complication. Recently he has begun to have some twitches and severe muscle spasms that just paralyze him with pain...along with some hearing and vision problems that come and go as well. Sometimes he loses his hearing for hours at a time. Not a good thing when you manage a retail store where public conversation is essential. His neurologist says that she feels that he may have a neck and/or brain condition that has gone undiagnosed. We are so burdened with medical bills already that my husband does not want to add two more bills to the collective pile. We have 3 children that he feels come before himself. He is a wonderful father and absolutely awesome husband who thinks only of others. I want to be able to think of him this time. I wish for the amount of the coinsurance on the MRI tests that he needs. About $200 for each scan he needs. I would just like him to get the tests he needs without worrying about how we are going to pay for it. |

a wedding band for my fiance
I'm getting married to the most wonderful man I've ever known. We've been having a lot of trouble coming up with money for the wedding. I'm not here asking for thousands of dollars to pay for the wedding. I'll DJ the thing myself if I have to! But it breaks my heart to think that come our wedding day, the wedding band I will have for him would be some $30 thing from overstock.com or something. I want to be able to give him something that shows how much I love him. |

3rd try Medication for Life Threatening Illness
Well this is my third try, and I would like to thank everyone for all their help and votes. I'm 38, and I have a dilated cardiomyopathy that inhibits the flow of blood threw my body. As such, my body doesn't pump off the excess fluid that builds up in the lungs and around the heart. So I have to take medication on a daily basis that assists in the removal of fluid as well as decreases my dependancy on oxygen. (Yes they really can do that) Unfortunatly, due to the changes in medical coverage I can no longer get my ace inhibitors or my beta blockers. On my first try here, many people directed me to orginizations that would help. I have applied to just about everyone I can find and I do hope for the best. However those things take time. Right now I'm begining my third week without my medication and have already been hospitalized once in the past week with a near congestive heart failure. Fortunatly they were able to leach away most of the fluid and I'm doing alright for the moment. Of course that's about any of us can ask for. What I'm asking for is the money needed to buy only two prescriptions and only for one month. I hope in that time that the orginizations you people have directed me to will pan out by then. I appriciate all the kind words you have written to me and I want you to know that most of them are the best medicine that I could ever have. As I said last week I'm not the type to just go out and find friends to get you to vote for me. So if you are reading this in a message then you either found me worthy to be your friend, or one of your friends directed you here. In either case, I appriciate all that you have done for me no matter what the outcome. I wish there were more I could do for each and every one of you, but as that I can't I will do my best to make sure to view each and every one of your wishes. A Wish for me me me!
Ok I have made a lot of wishes for my family and friends, I am now making a wish for me if you have read my bio you know I have an illness that can some times make every day life very hard to deal with (Sarcodosis). I was in remission or so they said, I can not tell most days I just feel like crap well over this last weekend my feet began to give me trouble again I am going to post pictures that are very graphic so if anyone has a week tummy please do not look. The point of my wish is I need treatment for this problem and because of having rotten insurance I am unable to cover the difference. I have a lot of medical bills and they are just getting worse and the doctor who would restart my treatment has been sending me bill after bill asking for payment I have been unable to send anything because of all the other bills I have. Now I am in a bad spot because now I am in desperate need of his help and he will not see me without payment. I am not sure if this wish will even get me what I need I can only pray because at this point i need to find some help asap! The last time this happend I was unable to walk for about a month and that is because I just delt with it instead of seeking the doctors advise on the problem it got so bad they thought I may lose my right foot, how ever the feet got better and have been ok for almost 2 years now I am back to haveing trouble walking again the pictures of my feet tell all that needs to be said. 4th Try Please help me to get my Car Safe -Brakes, Tires
I honestly have no where else to go for help. Yes this is my 4th try I am really in need.If I have to park my car I have no way around to work and I have no one to carpool with I have already tried only to count on someone who missed work. My brakes are not doing well and rotors I am told need replaced also and I have two tires that are shot. I need help with my car. It really needs tires, brakes and rotors. Even if I could just get tires would help. I know you have seen this wish before but thought I would put it back up. I have no way to get any extra money right now to pay for these repairs. I have no family to help out to take me places like work, grocery store. I want me and the kids to be safe when we go down the road to school and work. Right now I have had some illness and was not making full pay. I dont have any one to ask for help and well tried everything on my own and it has not worked. My church will put the brakes and rotors on the car I was told but wont pay for the parts. They dont have the funding. This alone will help. But I need the parts. Sorry if a repeated wish annoys you. I just need help. |

A baby bed for my little girl
My husband and I just had a little girl on the 23rd of March who is currently sleeping in a "lender" bassinet. bassinet. Due to Hurricane Katrina we have been living in one of those wonderful campers. We have finally somewhat gotten back on our feet and are moving into a "place" at the end of this month. Due to deposits, which I hope we have enough, I am in need of anything to be able to buy my little girl a proper baby bed. I want for anything for her to have what she deserves. I love surfing and looking at all of the beds, but everytime I do I know I do not have enough to get her one myself. I don`t want to post a long sob story, as everyone sees it for themselves on the news what has happened to the people that have lost their homes to Katrina. We also lost ours. The home was located exaclty where the eye of the hurricane crossed over. Buras, LA. We had winds registering 195 miles per hour. Anyhow everyone has been through alot here. We are just now getting back on our feet and have been staying in the yard(in our camper) of friends. Now that we are finally going to have a roof over our heads big enough to set up a nursery I would like to buy the most important thing. I am going to slowly buy the simple things to make her nursery special but the bed is what is going to break me. I could go on and on about not having money or being behind in bills but my baby comes first to me and we have to catch up on everything so nothing will be taken away from what she needs. Don`t know if that makes sense. Please vote for me. I would be so greatly appreciative you couldn`t even imagine. |

Set a Course, For Home! v.4.0
Since talking to a friend the other day, I've decided I have to switch categories for my wish afterall. I know the tendancy of the wishes on this site to bounce all over the place, and I don't think that I could handle beating people out of house and home. Emotionally, this is a need, but when it comes down to it, our lives will go on. That's the difference between my wish, and the other top nice wishes. Now that a naughty wish has passed mine, and I wouldn't just be fence hopping into first place, I don't feel quite so bad about it. |

My Mom's house burnt down yesterday, She lost everything
Yesterday my mom Peggy was taken by ambulance to the hospital for chest pain at 1:00pm, at approx 3:00pm the Sheriffs called me asking if I was Peggy's daughter. I told them yes and they proceeded to tell me that my mom?s home had caught fire that her two St. Bernard service dogs had been killed, they told me to go to the hospital and let my mom know. I was devastated. Her two service dogs Cyrus, he was a old boy and had been retired and Suiza was my mom's service dog, companion that helped my mom so much. Basically her whole life and best friend. |

He has a dream.....Wolverene's laptop
Wolverene has a dream.....a dream not only for himself but for as many people in his country as he can help. He has a plan....a plan to have a business that will not only help himself but so many others. All he needs to jump both feet into this, is a laptop. He is not a greedy man as I'm sure he could use much more than a laptop but all he is asking for is the laptop. The Phillippines are a very poor country as the video shows and of course he cant fix the entire country on his own but he is a beginning. The people he can help will go on to help others and this will continue to happen until maybe one day the people in their country will have the means to feed all the hungry, clothe and shelter the poor and just make everyday life in general more bearable for all citizens. |
