A Tombstone for My Mother's Gravesite
My wish is to be able to have enough money to buy my mother a tombstone. |
Money to help my parents with bills and medications.......
My dad has become disabled, he's not yet 65. After a year of fighting for disability it was finally given to him, but it took every penny he had left in his 401 K plan to pay the bills and doctor appointments until he finally got it, he was not working and had no money coming in for expenses. During this time, my mom had to have 2 surgeries for thyroid cancer and still has to go back for tests (over 100 miles away) to make sure everything is ok ( she may have to have a radiation treatment in April), neither of them have any insurance at all!! She also has bad allergies which can cause her to get pneumonia easily. She was taking shots, but because of the price of the medicine and office visits to get the shots she had to completely give them up. In October my mom will be elligible for Medicare, but my dad has to wait until next year before he is old enough to qualify. Right now it takes every penny they get to pay bills, buy medicines and go to the doctors, sometimes they have to go a week at a time before they can buy groceries, I helped them raise a small garden last year, so they do have some canned food, they won't starve, but they can't raise milk and other necessities they need. They were actaully taking people to the stores etc. to make a little money for gas, but their vehicle insurance raises for every so many miles that are added to the vehicle; so they had to quit doing that good deed as well to keep insurance payments down. They are having a very hard time, and this money could help see them through until they both can get the medicare benefits and help buying their medications. They are really good people who have been hit by the hard times because of how the government treats our senior people. They truly deserve something good to happen to them right now. Thank you, and God will Bless those of you who Bless them with your votes!!! |
A stem cell transplant
I know that is a ridiculous sum of money! If I don't have an autologous (not embryonic) stem cell transplant I will likely die. I have a clotting disorder called Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome that has caused me to have a heart attack and many strokes; and as is the case with autoimmune diseases, if you have one you have several. I am very happily married and I am an excellent professor. I make a huge impact in the lives of my students. I have so much left to give. To read about this struggle, please visit my blog: [ link ] |

Money to pay for my Daughters Eye Surgery. She is 10 years.
My daughter is 10 years old and has had 5 eye surgeries which began when she was 9 months old. She was born with a cogential cateract and now has an introcular lens implant. Her eye Doctor wants to tighten her eye muscles which may also restore some vision in her right eye. She is legally blind in that eye. My health insurance policy has a deducticle of $1,000.00 per year plus $250.00 per surgery and 30% of the cost of the surgery we must pay. I have documentation to validate this. This surgery is out of the question without assistance I cannot afford the high cost of my insurances deductibles. I make too much money to get assistance from the state but not enough money to cover the surgery. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We need a better way to help people in my situation in our country with health insurance needs. My daugters name is Phlicity. Thanks, for reading this. |
the last 1500 I need for bariatric surgery
Well, lets see I weigh 260 pounds (I have always been overweight my earliest diet was in the fourth grade) I realize that this is my fault and no one elses, but I have and I am making an effort to loose the weight. I have joined a gym, done weight watchers, LA weight loss, Atkins, and a host of other diets that are too numerous to name......I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea which means I stop breathing in my sleep (I have to wear a darth vader mask to bed every night and it's hard to get in the mood when your wife resembles something out of star wars :) ), I have metabolic syndrome, PCOS (which has kept my husband and I from getting pregnant for the past five years, and just recently I have been having problems sleeping at night and breathing even though I wear the mask....I went to the hospital with severe chest pains last saturday (REALLY scary.....especially considering I'm only 27) and come to find out I have a hiatal hernia....good news because I wasn't having a heart attack....bad news because I will have to have surgery to correct it because of it's severity. This makes the need to get the surgery soon a desperate one. If I get the hernia fixed with surgery before the bariatric surgery they may not be able to do the bariatric because I would be higher risk and all the saving I have done will have gone to waist....but if I get the bariatric done first they will fix the hernia while their in there and save me recovery time and money. I want the chance for a better and longer life. This surgery would alleviate my health issues snd give me the boost I need to experience life in a whole new way. |
