A plane ticket to take a vacation and visit a friend
As a single mom to 5 sons, some of whom have special needs, I don't get a break very often. Due to my boys needs I have not been able to work in a little over a year and therefore have very limited funds with which to budget. |
Money to finally pay off the credit card!!!
In 2001 we were debt free. Then we moved 2000 miles for a job that didn't cover our moving expenses. Then we had to buy new furniture. Then my husband's car died and he needed another one. Then I was downsized, a month after 9-11. There were no jobs to be found in my field, so we sent my husband to truck driving school so he would have a decent job when my unemployment ran out. I ended up finding a job before that, but the expense of the truck driving school, the move, the car, and being unemployed for nearly 6 months really added up. |
The chance to carry a baby
We have been recently told we have a really good chance IVF could bring us our much longed for child but that the cost for this chance is $12,000 we are trying everything we can to raise the funds as the thought of having to give up because of money is too heartbreaking, i dont want this wish just for myself but for my wonderful husband who looking at him knowing i could be the reason he never gets to have a child and would be wonderful grandparents who cried with us when we realised it could all be over for us. if you cant grant our wish please keep us in your prayers. |
my son to have the chance to go to special ed summer school.
My son has severe autism. He does not qualify for the school district's free summer programs, so he can only attend a paid program. Of course, the program he qualifies for is the most expensive one, at $295, and it is also the first one to fill. His program is for the most severe special needs kids in the district (a district of >50,000 students), and there are only 20 spaces available. He lacks the academic skills to attend any of the bigger programs, and requires one on one supervision at all times. |
help with my medical bills
Why me? Wow, this is honestly a hard question....because really *why me* instead of the next person? I am a SAHM of two children, my husband works very hard to support us...he is my rock and I don't know what I would do without him! We live in a small home and spend most of our time with our families. I'm not looking for enough to pay off ALL my medical bills, because my medical is ongoing...I deal with a few different autoimmunities. Last April my husband was in a mountain biking accident and broke his hip, missing work for a month and a half. Even though we did recieve a small amount of disability during this time, it was barely enough to make ends meet, and certainly not enough to continue paying for my medical treatment. Right now we are in the process of trying to find new doctors that can hopefully help me with my medical conditions. I suffer from a blood clotting disorder called APS/Hughes Syndrome, that cause me to have TIA's (mini-strokes), among other disorders that coincide with this. I need to be on treatment in order to not have a full blown stroke, and this is where we are hoping new doctors will help. I don't feel I'm more deserving of the next person by any means, I just want to get on top of my health and find the right medical help, so I can spend my quality time laughing and playing with my family :) |
Help paying for my father's medical bills & prescriptions #2
Hello, i am a 28 year old loving daughter and my father just recently had a massive heart attack and he has no heath insurance or presciption coverage. I can't afford to loose him now, because I have already lost my mother to cancer when I was 7 years old. He is all that I have. He is on a limited income and not eligable for medicare for another 2 years, and I am on a limited income also, and have 2 little girls that just adore their Pa-Paw. Anything that we can get will be greatly appreciated. Atleast enough to buy his medication, because his heart meds are very expencive. I would like to add that when my father was able to work, he was a extremely generous and giving man. It never mattered how much he had; he would always help a person out that was in need. Even a complete stranger. He would give his last dime and the shirt off of his back to anyone who asked. I just hate seeing him unable to take care of himself now. I really would appreciate every little bit of help that I can get. After all he did work extremely hard (sometimes 2 and 3 jobs at a time) to put food on the table, clothing on our backs and a warm dry place to live after the passing of my mother. He did the best that he could possibly do to raise a 7 year old and a 2 year old after she passed away. We are in the process of applying for disability, but it seems like it can take forever. I have also contacted drug companies, but have not recieved any replies. I would welcome any information that anyone can give me and put it to good use. Again anything that anyone can do to help us will greatly be appreciated. Thank You to all who can help, I greatly appreciate it and so will he. May god bless all!! A loving Daughter afraid of loosing her Daddy, Mia |
A pair of crocs for Liesl
I think Liesl would be so very cheered up by a cute pair of crocs with the neat little decorative buttons. :) |
Help Thumper get well! Vet bills for rescued pug
It's a long story, but we ended up with a very sick dog. We were supposed to be buying a puppy, and ended up with the puppy's mother instead. She had very severe mange, was underweight, had hookworm, yeast infections in both ears, mammary tumors and a tumor in her mouth. She has been on mange treatment since we got her 4 weeks ago. She had surgery yesterday for the tumors, and we had her spayed at the same time. She also had to have two teeth pulled. |

A Date! I need a date!
Here's the thing. I'm a single mom. I've been divorced since May of 2000. I have a full-time job working in an elementary school, and I raise a child with severe autism. He takes up a TON of my time and attention, so I have not really pursued dating at all. I have not had a date since my divorce, and I really would very much like to get out there and meet people! |
More quilting fabric for gift quilts
I get great joy from making quilts to give away to people. Most of my gift quilts go to people who strike my heart as needing a little lift or those who Just need to know that there are those who think of them. a signifigant portion will go toward purchasing the flannel to make a special raggy quilt that I will auction off with all proceeds going to Autism research and awareness. This is Autism awareness month and I would like to contribute . |
A Night Out For My Wife & I ~ I'll keep on tryin'!
I'm going to try for this wish once more since I still have time to get decent seats ~ I'm listing this under naughty, although I think it's really nice. It's a pretty simple wish, so not much to explain. My wife has really been wanting to see Wicked and it is coming to our town in May thru June [ link ] |
Money to cover medical bills for disability claim
This is my third try at this so I'll see what happens this time. I am a disabled divorced parent of an autistic child that lives with me. I have been trying to get disability for the past year but the agency requires extensive medical tests and ongoing treatment for me to qualify for disability. Since I am disabled and unable to get a job I have no medical insurance and no money to pay a doctor. My state claims I do not qualify for state medical assistance unless I am getting disability. Several law firms I have contacted have told me either they do not work in this state or tell me that I have to move to an adjoining state to get disability. I have contcted my congressional representatives and they are not much help. I need to be able to get the medical treatment I need to get the disability to pay my bills before my son and I lose our home. |
Funds for family to be with 2.5 yr old during his surgery
Our son Benjamin is having his third open heart surgery in 2 1/2 yrs. |
$ to pay for ongoing prescriptions & doctors visits
2nd try: I'm desperate. 1) Thank you to everybody who donated & voted last week. And especially your comments really brightened me up when I was in bad mental shape. |
Jimmy Choo stilettos
I wear stilettos all the time, and if you saw my legs, you would understand why. In short, they're phenomenal, and being such, they deserve to be seen in a terrible expensive pair of shoes. Why can't I afford them? Because I work my butt off to pay my bills as it is. Also, if you read my previous wish, you will realize the importance of the new car behind me in this picture. That's because I fulfilled my own wish and saved everything I made to put the down payment on my little Yaris. Unfortunately, I do not have the extra funding to buy the shoes I so desperately want. A bit shallow? Perhaps, but doesn't a girl deserve a treat every once in awhile? |
The courage to stand up to my doctors
EDIT: I do not have lymphoma! I would like everyone to please vote for [ link ] or [ link ] instead! Don't vote higher than a 3 on this wish as I'd like all wish points to go to better wishes! THANK YOU EVERYONE! |
My Daughters Dream of Dance to become a reality!!
Hello, this is the third round for this wish to be able to give my daughter dance lessons. My oldest daughter who is now almost 4 years old was born with Bilateral Club Feet and has already had to have 2 surgeries to help correct them. She is a very, very clumsy girl. She can be standing still and fall flat on her face. Not a joke. Her doctor says that her feet are corrected to the best of his ability, and suggested that I put her into dance class to help her with her balance. However, we can not afford to do that at this time, as we are on a tight budget and can barely afford to make ends meet. I would love for her to be able to experience this; as she is a character and loves to dance reguardless if she falls down all of the time. She just loves music and dance. She says that she wants to be a ballerina and be on American Idol when she grows up. Whenever she hears music she is right there singing and dancing right along with the song. I would truly appreciate any help that I can get, and would love for this dream to come true. Even though she isn't very graceful, I would love to see the look on her face when I take her into class for the first time. This is something that she really wants and I feel awful not being able to fulfill her wish and dreams. Again thank you very much for your support! May God Bless All!! Thank you to all of the people who where kind enough to vote the last round, thank you for all of the lovely comments! |
Trip to Marine World or Great America
Maria is a 9 yr old child that has Cystic Fibrosis. She is terminally ill and very sad right now because she is losing the battle with her illness. I would like to bring some happiness to her and her family and give her a day at Marine World or Great America. The cost would be for her and her family to go there, food, and maybe stay the night at a hotel. It will mean the world to her to spend the day at the amusement park without worrying about how her parents will pay for it. It will also bring some much needed joy to her siblings and parents. Please help Maria smile again by granting this one simple wish. |
Money for CROCS stock for Liesl.
My friend Liesl makes me very sad with all her hatred towards my favorite footwear. I would love to purchase shares for her in the CROCS business so that she will be forced to luv them as much as I do. |
A Falafel and a Drink
I would like a falafel for lunch. I?d also like to wash it down with a Cherry Coke. I am a housewife and disabled. As most housewives know, it doesn?t pay very well. Taking care of the home is a big job, but has no benefits. |
Someone to pack these boxes for me.
Because I'm tired, I hate moving, I'm sweaty and annoyed. I don't know where the heck this junk goes. Or where it came from even. But if someone would come pack them for me, I'd certainly run to the store and pick up beer, soda, and pizza. You can even play with the Wii when every thing's boxed as long as you promise not to wing the remote through a window. I'd kind of like the security deposit back. |
