I'm an out of work rock truck driver, I love my kids more than life, and just want the best for them. My dad is a severe alcoholic, and doesn't know how much he's hurting his family. I've tried to help him, and I've tried to get him help but he just doesn't want it. I don't know what to do. It's tearing my family apart, and I can't live without them.

Trenton, your dad has to want to get better. I don't know how to get through things such as this other than just holding onto faith and going forward day by day. I am 13 years sober and I know it is only by the grace of God that I am. My mind was changed for me or else I would not be here. Perhaps your father will ask to have his hurts healed and he will be able to get sober. Through God's grace anything is possible and is done. See it in you and it will be true !! Tiahui!

If you do get to Texas, we will figure out a way to get a sewing machine to your wife. It may not be new, but it'll be a nice one. We have several.
