I do understand what you are saying, 4leafcloverwishes. Although you may seem to feel that the requirements are stringent, but they must also make sure that those applying for the assistance truely are in need of it. Before these requirements were put in place, every state was losing well over 100 thousand dollars and more each year by helping people who really didn't need the help, as they had hundreds if not thousands of dollars in their own bank accounts, but they applied for this help just because it was their with nothing to stop them from getting it, so rules had to be changed to make sure that all who applied for it really needed it. I know that even those who make good money sometimes have things come up and they need a little extra help here and there, but it is the ones who know the help is there for them, so they go out and spend all their money on stupid things in which they could have done without and then expect us good people to pay their bills for them.

Well, to me, a site like this one should be here to help grant those wishes to people who want those extra things in which a person could do without. Let them spend their money on the necessary things. We all should learn that our bills come first, then a roof over our heads, and food, and everything else comes second. So if even one bill is due, then we do not go out to a resturant, or buy a kid a toy or even go to a movie. The bill must be paid first, so don't go and buy the other and then come to a site like this crying that you want and need us to grant a wish to pay your bill for you. I do not believe that is what this site is about and it was never meant to be that way. This is NOT a online Social Service Agency, and they do not have a license to be one. So all members here should be helping to grant the wishes to members who are asking and wanting something in which they could actually do without, but they deserve to have something nice for once.

I can tell you that yes, I am very poor, and I can barely make it month to month and I live that way on a very small Social Security Check, less then $700 per month, and I have to pay my rent, utilities, supplies that food stamps do not cover, and yes, sometimes I have to go to one of my local Social Service Agency to get help when I get a shut off notice on my electric or gas, but at no time would I ever consider coming to this site and asking that all you great members here help me by granting a wish of helping me pay one of my bills. My bills are just that, Mine. Not yours, and I or no other member should be using this site to ask us to pay your bills.

In reality, there are NOT a bunch of resources out there for those of us in need. The requirements are stringent, and many fall through the cracks. In these economic times, there are more needy and less resources to supply those needs. (One who knows.)

Thank you very much Neededmom. It is sad that I have decided to leave the Robinhood site, but I no longer wish to be a part of an online Social Service Agency site, and that is what this site has become. Seems the only wishes that are being granted now days are for those who are asking for things that if they would only take an hour out of their day for one day and go to any one of their Local Social Service Agencies, and ask for their needed help like they are asking here, they could get the help they need. Then this site could grant wishes to people who want something nice and different, such as a trip to visit friends or family that they could not afford otherwise, or something that might help make their lives better that is not covered by a Social Service Agency. Just not fair that those who really deserve a wish can't get it here because Robinhood folks want to run a Social Services Site here.
