25 year old married lady with 2 wonderful kids. Diagnosed with lupus a year ago but have probably had it for a while. I'm just stubborn, lol. I really want to raise Lupus awareness. Because most people don't even know what it is, but it effects 1.5-2 million americans adn more than 90% of them are women. This is what they say about it at Lupus.org Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys and brain. Normally the body's immune system makes proteins called antibodies, to protect the body against viruses, bacteria, and other foreign materials. These foreign materials are called antigens.
