Hello everyone. This is a great site! I am a teacher by trade and have fallen on hard times. My greatest wish is that people didn't have to struggle so much in this life. I also wish I could help more. I love spending time with family and friends, reading, warm weather, beaches, lakes, and knitting. I adore animals and esp. dogs and I am very partial to dachshunds! I am involved with dachshund rescue and society but not to the degree I would like to be because of money restrictions. I wanted to foster, but my own furbaby, Otis, ended up with thousands of dollars of back surgery at a young age. I want to make sure that I can always take the best care that I possible can of him, so unless I win the lottery someday or have success in my small business, I will only have one. I would love to foster someday or start a place for disabled dachshunds. I just wish life was boring and I could someday live a "normal" life. It has always been a challenge.
