Forgot to add that I would love to visit the Virgin Islands one day. They sound and seem like very beautiful islands. Are they as beautiful as they seem to appear ? What is life down there really like ? Cost of living ? Or are they real "touristy" and overcrowded ? Either way , from what I have seen , I would love to officially test lounge chairs on a beach down there ! LOL

I am very sorry that you're having a rough time. I so know where you are coming about where unfairness and all are involved. I see it around here too. My husband and I fall through the cracks so many times it is unreal. I have relatives that live off of the system and I see it as highly unfair. By that I mean , they quit their jobs , lose their jobs etc. Their rent goes from near nothing to negatives. More foodstamps are added in , WIC , you name it. They get allowances , rent reductions and so on. My husband lost his job a week before Christmas , and well did our rent get lowered ? Nope ! If we cannot come up with it , we are homeless pure and simple. We are not eligible for food stamps , yet they can quit job after job and they get them monthly. Not to mention some they sell !! I was a manager at a convenience store here where I live. And I used to see people come in all the time with food stamps driving Durangos , Dodge Rams , (all newer models with price tags of $20 grand and up. Or at least car payments of $300 or so a month. If you ask my personal opinion "welfare" and it's system is very unfair. It creates ways for most to be "Welfare Lifers" , and it taxes the hell out of us poor guys. I honestly feel the welfare system needs overhauled or done away with period. If it cannot be fair to all , it should support none ! What happened to the limits ? I have an aunt that has been in housing getting all sorts of assistance here and there. And has been for 14 years almost. What is up with that ? She recently quit a job. Poof her rent went negative , now she gets assistance with utilities and so on. How pathetic is that ? My husband lost his job , and there was no sense in even applying for anything . As we would have been denied too. Seems as if , if you don't have a bus load full of kids that you can't take care of , a sad sob story too . Or you aren't a schemer , you're out of luck when it comes to a handout from Uncle Sam.. I could go on , but I will end it with this. I wish you all the best in your situation. And hope like everything you get to see the silver lining in this dark cloud that is lingering over your life !
