Funding for my First Film

I'm currently a 20-year-old student at University in England, but what I'd really love to do is be a filmmaker: screenwriter and director. As a first wish this is very naughty, but recently part of my dream came true, as a friend of mine read a very short script I'd written and loved it so much he wanted to make it and get me to direct. We're in the process of getting a production team together (already have D.O.P., producer, assistant director and director), equipment (we want to shoot it on 16mm film) and all the rest, but it's very expensive and getting funding is proving to be a real problem.

This is my first real film - I did a course at the London Film Academy, but the film I ended up directing (see embedded video) wasn't something that I could call my own as it was an idea I had to adapt into a short film, and I didn't have to get the funding together myself.

We're trying lots of different places and I thought I'd try here, just in case some of you are generous enough to vote/donate! Please, help make my dream come true! I can guarantee a credit on the finished film for anyone that does vote/donate.
