Maria was only 42 years old and as a parent you never think that you are going to have to bury your children. Maria had a drug problem in the past but had been clean for almost 3 years. She was in the process of getting a divorce from her ex-husband who orignally got her hooked on drugs in the first place when in a moment of weakness she allowed her husband to come and see her son while she was at work. She walked in from work and saw her soon to be ex and her son who is 25 shooting up herion and at that moment made the choice that would take her life way too soon. She died of a drug overdose. The next day we found Maria's son (25 years old) laying on the kitchen floor where he had overdosed. Luckily we got to him in time and were able to save his life.
The hardest call we have ever had to make was to Corinne and Rich to tell them that thier firstborn daughter was dead. They drove all night from Massachusttes to take care of Maria's final arrangements and to clean up the mess she had left behind after making her fatal choice. These are loving parents and now they are at each others throats because Corrine cannot bear to throw her daughers things away, and Rich is haunted at being in the apartment where his daughter choked to death on her vomit while in a drug induced state. These people have not had a moment to sit down and begin to grieve for thier child.
These are the type of people who will give you the shirt off thier back, knowing it is their last one and that they cant afford another. They deserve some downtime and peace in their life. Please help me help them to relax if even for just one night.

I dont mean to sound crabby in this post but I have had too many new members give me a 1 for my wishes because they dont understand that they are downvoting. Im not complaining if someone thinks that my wishes are not deserving but I cant imagine anyone voting a 1 for someone who just lost their child. I mean why add insult to injury? Just move on. I realize I might get blasted, but why can't we all just be nice. Well I think in light of everything that happened and being bashed over my nice wishes to help everyone else I think Im doing a selfish wish just for me. By the way I changed my profile so that anyone who is wondering who I am can go there and find out what Im all about.

OK I need to get away from these kids. Seriously if I hear them argue ONE MORE TIME, Im going to lose it. My daughter's friend Ashley lost her dad in a motorcycle accident on Oct 26, 2007. He was riding down the highway right outside of our town, and was in a hurry because it was his wedding anniversery with his wife Cathy and he was trying to get home so they could celebrate. Unfortunately he was traveling about 85 mph and he clipped a semi truck and never made it home. We all heard the sirens but we were unaware of how it would affect our small community.
Word has spread quickly, and now we are trying to help Cathy and her kids for Christmas.
Ashley is 9 years old and the other boy is 15.
My hope is to get them 2 50.00 gift cards to walmart. One for each child so their mom can pick out what she wants to get them. I have received 20.00 in donations from another site and will concontinue to edit this wish to reflect any further donations.
