I lowered the amount although I don't think, from some of the comments, that some people understood where I was coming from. I have multiple sclerosis, so there are a lot of games, etc. that are not easy for me to play with my son. The train table and train set is something he and I could play together. Also, if you read the whole post, you would see that I asked for a certain amount, but that I would appreciate anything.
My son, Noah, just turned three years old. My husband recently lost his job, and I have been struggling to pay the bills on my salary. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis two years ago, so in addition to the regular bills, I have a stack of medical expenses. Because of all of this, we have not had any money left over to spend on birthday presents for little Noah.
He is such a sweet and loving boy, and I just feel horrible not having gifts for him. I put $300 just because decent toys are so expensive and that's what I'm normally inclined to spend on gifts, but any amount would be very much appreciated.
God bless you all, and may we all make it through these financially difficult times! (more)
