Money to fix our one and only family car

I've always been more of a giver, than a taker. I enjoy helping others in their time of need and would do anything to help anyone. Even those who I don't know. I have a very big heart and always donate whatever I can to fund raisers to help people who are in need of surgery, or other medical help. I'm always donating clothes and other items to needy families and homeless shelters. It does my heart good to know that because of just a little something that I can do, made someone's life a little easier.

But now it's my turn. My uncle, who was a father to me, died at the age of 58 last summer of cancer. Ever since, I have fallen into a deep depression and it seems that nothing has been going right for my family. We're good people, so I really don't understand why bad things have been happening to us.

My husband & I suffer from some health issues, and have several weekly appointments with doctors that we must attend. A few weeks ago, our one and only car broke down and we have barely been able to keep any of our appointments. It is hard for us to find someone in the family, or friends, to take us where we need to go. We live in a very small city that doesn't have a bus route. If it did, we'd be set!

We are requesting $500 so that we are able to get our car fixed. All of the money that we currently make goes to our electricity bill, rent, phone bill, and groceries. We have nothing left to get our car fixed. We aren't extravagant people - we don't have cable Internet, nor cable TV. We don't spend what money we do have on things that we don't need.

Vow Renewal For Our 10 Year Anniversary

On August 11th, my husband and I will have been married for 10 years. We eloped when we got married, and now that we are parents ourselves, see how much it hurt our parents not to be there to witness our marriage.

We are planning on having a vow renewal to celebrate our marriage and 10 years together. We've had some pretty rocky times during our marriage, and would like to renew our vows to each other, in front of our family.

The money I am asking for, will pay for a nice little reception and food for after our ceremony. We are only inviting our families and closest friends, but my husband has a very large family! Some of the money will also be used to purchase nice outfits for myself, my husband, and our 2 children (ages 9 & 6) to wear for the ceremony.

This wish is a naughty wish because even if we don't win, we will still have our vow renewal. It just won't be as "extravagant" as we'd like it to be. :-)

Prayers for my grandpa

Activities for my kids

This is asking for help in getting my 2 children into extracurricular activities.

I have a 9 year old son who has been wanting to take Karate for the longest time. He is a timid child and his dad & I believe that this will give him more self confidence and also be fun for him.

We also have a 6 year old daughter who really wants to take dance lessons. She is a very energetic little girl and is always dancing happily around the house.

Both children do very well in school, and deserve to be in these activities more than anything. Unfortunately, we live on a very limited income and after paying the bills, buying food, and clothing for them, we don't have anything extra for them to be able to do these things.

The money we are asking for will pay for their classes for a few months, and also buy the appropriate uniforms that they will need. Thanks so much for any help that you can give us!
